  1. Thanks for getting back to me; I appreciate your views on the matter. I had the product less than 24 hours before I returned it. I had previously had Sky and an up-graded dish, and the reception with that was very good, so I'm not at all sure. If the manufacturers packageing was different (e.g. unsealed plastic bags)I could have returned the product the next day without problem. It just seems harsh to me?
  2. Bought Humax Freesat and up-grade HDMI leads from Comet in Southport. Came to appox £299. Once set up at home I had various problems with it. The picture kept breaking-up and lost ability to watch various channels when in 'record' mode. Returned to store the next day and they refunded me but charged me £29 for what they called 'restocking charge'. They said the product worked as it should when in the store, so it had to be the geographical location of my house. I explained that I had returned the product because it was not 'fit for the purpose intended', but was otherwise in perfect condition, as when bought. The salesman agreed with me but pointed out I had openned two sealed plastic bags, that had contained leads, and so the product was actually 'not perfect'. I explained I had to open these to use, but the store staff refused point blank to show any flexibility, reason or intelligence in this matter, and I was left feeling robbed!! PLEASE BEWARE OF COMET, espesially in Southport..their customer service skills are a disgrace. Comet head office in Hull should be ashamed in my opinion, at the training/performance of these staff.
