  1. thanks below.but i think the system has changed somewhat.i hve put all these in financial hardship letter which i copied into FOS.they have now fast tracked my complaint against bank.this includes mis selling PPI and non payment PPi etc etc which has put me into financial hardship.I sent also to bank but they refuse to respond.I have cAB also contacting them on same but the banks management have told the enployees not to deal with CAB at all
  2. i agree but it depends totally on ones perspective on what JC's are and what the people are like.Most people see it as a (rightly so) government big brother dept to see what you are upto and someway of stopping your monies.Some-i repeat some of the staff-are only interested in staying in civil servant job for the pension.But we all need to remember that they are only doing a job and have to work within certain rules.There are those who let the small power they have go to thier heads and feel that they can be obnoxiuos and nasty to those who have problems.If you come across such speak to manager as these people have no place in society or a job like that
  3. not only contact FOS but FSA as well.From what you said i think they may be in breach of banking codes namely s14.4-we will work with debt counselling organisations..i have CAB working for me on my debts but Lloyds refuse to deal with them-they use excuse they cannot talk or deal with anyone but me as account holder-this is wrong.after this is S14.2 which states 'we will do all we can to help you overcome your difficulties'Banks completely ignore this but it is a legal requirement.The amount that a fully fit person (according to government ) needs to live on is around 64.00£ a week so them giving you 50£ seems strange and why do you need to collect from bank-if you have bank card why not use ATM that a friend could do for you.Thier stance is to stop you coming in and hopefully go away.If this is your money and you are in credit they cannot put any restrictions on you taking out where and when,and maybe you should also contact your disabled dept and put the case to them.Another thing would be to contact the CAB
  4. for your SAR they must send everything that holds you as subject.I have done this with Lloyds and they 'forgot' to send copies of all agreements for personal account/loans/credit cards and said they di not have to.Sadly under DPA they have too.So i gave them chance to rectify but they refused to now in hands Information commissioner.If you feel that you are mssing docs under SAR then do this also.If you feel that you have been missold PPI for anything then approach FOS/FSA.If this has put you into financial hardship send letter to bank stating this and how you are trying to survive and copy in FOS.Under no circumstances should you let them fob you off
  5. hmm yes i have found job agencies more helpful and better,but even these days some off these decide who to forward for jobs or.remember if job agencies fill a job they get paid by company for doing so,even temp work when i last did it ,i was paid 7.50 PH and i know the agency was charging between 12-13£ PH and you were not entitled to breaks as these are deducted from hours you worked-holidays also.Anyway i digress-the JC have to follow thier own rules and if they dont then complain ,as its your tax money that is paying for them to be in work.There is also the fact that before this recession the government was cutting back on JC staff and only recently got a move on,but some louts may have slipped through who think that they have the power to order people to do as they say.if they get bossy or arogant just ask for the supervisor or manager
  6. hm-seems a real hornets nest stirred up here.What should be done is look at the info from all aspects and persons involved.Each and every person has thier own vision and ideas about signing on for JSA.Some of these people (who do a good job at JC's) really have to put up with some unsavoury characters coming in demanding this that and the other and getting low paid for it.But still they have to have a smile on face and be nice to next person.Sometimes it gets too much and next person gets backlash-not nice or proffesional but it happens,after all as the saying goes -we're only human'.Now to put this into perspective i work on reception at a CAB (as a volunteer) and i have to do all above unpaid,except i cannot be 'rude' to next person if i get aggro from person before.i think it would be safe to say that you arrived on a bad hair day or at wrong time.JC are not daunting and staff do thier best under current climate and restraints BUT they are only people doing thier job for little or no respect.if you want to blame somebody blame the banks & government
  7. no i did not want to start an arguement.guess it is right depends on the jc and people inside and what training they have been givencould be they are out of thier depth or just do not have people skills in dealing with people face to face.still thats no excuse.what should happen is these numpties should be removed and sent for retraining.It is hard enough at mo without these plonkers making it harder
  8. thanks above,but sadly they have made sure any money that goes in goes to cover unauthorised overdraft which lloyds tsb caused in first place.I have FOs and CAB taking them on but they seem to be ok wth ignoring banking codes.

HI,WELL WHEN U FIRST SIGNED ON THE UBO SHOULD HAVE ASKED WHAT YOUR JOB WAS AND NOTED IN SYSTEM AND WHAT YOU INTENDED TO SEARCH FOR WITHIN THOSE PARAMETERS,WHICH WOULD BE THE JOBS YOU WOULD BE SEARCHING FOR.I WAS MADE REDUNDANT IN FEB 2009 AND HAD BEEN IN SHIPPING SINCE 1972 AND DUE TO RECESSION THE WHOLE SHIPPING BUSINESS HAS GONE BELLY UP.I ONLY APPLY FOR THOSE WHICH I HAVE EXPERIENCE FOR AND NOT THOSE THAT WOULD BE WASTING MY TIME AND COMPANIES TIME APPLYING FOR IF I KNEW THAT I COULD NOT GET THE JOB.I TOO HAVE WEB SITES CONTACT ME ,NEWSPAPERS ETC ETC AND WHATEVER I PUT DOWN IS ACCEPTED AS UBO KNOW SITUATION.SEEMS YOU HAVE GOT A JOBSWORTH AND THEY CANT BE BOTHERED TO HELP YOU.I KNOW LONGER GET JSA AS USED MINE UP (ni BASED) AND PARTNER WORKS MORE THAN 24 HOURS A WEEK-BUT MY UBO GAVE ME OTHERS AREAS TO TRY TO HELP WITH INCOME-IF YOU STILL GET AGGRO ASK TO SEE MANAGER.
  10. i have had same thing.i get no benefits at all and rely on partners income to pay all bills etc etc.I was made redundant and had PPI which was told by local branch manager would be settled by them with no problem.Now i find that they have reneged on this on flimsy basis.To get thier money they just emptied my account and went upto agreed overdraft limit and then as i forgot to cancel a d/d they refused to pay it and charged me and of course i went into unagreed overdraft which i now get charged each month for even though they are and have been told i have no income,both by me and CAB.I evne had to close my daughters account with them as it had my name on otherwise they would have taken that as well according to thier rules.if you open an account do not use same bank.The FOS had ordered them to stop chasing me for payments until case of mis selling PPI settled (bank refuses to sort it out) and CAB have written at least three times to which bank refuses to acknowledge and refuses to talk/deal with CAB on my behalf even though clear breach banking codes but this seems not to worry bank in question-all i get is a letter saying 'we are sorry to hear about your complaint.......' I have even had to change phone number as calls were getting annoying (even sundays).I reported to phone company as harassing calls and the number was changed within hours.send a hardship ltter to bank with amount you are owed and keep copy and send copy and make official complaint to FOS and go see your local CAB.They can complete an expenditure and income sheet and send to bank on your behalf.As the banks refuse to discuss with CAB and breaching banking codes any legal dept will see this in bad light.As for my PPI ,well i have been put in this predicament by bank,as if they had paid PPI life would be easier.So i have mis selling claim going along with others claims all lumped together,and the bank seems reluctant to take me to court(as they keep threatening to do)as they realise they would be hammered.the amount i have spent on PPI with this bank would pay off the debts and they know that if they have to pay it all back.i did a subject access request,which should have encluded all data that held me as subject (including videos) and they deliberatley missed out all copies of agreements for credit cards/loans/accounts.when i asked for them they said i would have to pay a fee-this is rubbish as this data had to have been included in original request and so i have sent complaint to ICO for them to take over.The other tactic they use is when they answer your complaint they put 'final response',this has actually no meaning in legal avenues and they just put it on letter to stop you writing back.They did it to me but i just kept writing,in the end i have dealt with over 60 people in same banking group over this matter.Trust me Al Capone would be seen as extremely honest person compared to them.I have not escaped entirely unscathed all this has damaged my health,but thats another claim.
  11. i agree that you should not agree anyhting over phone.i did that and lloyds reneged saying they had nothing on what was agreed.This is why they refuse to hand over tapes.Probably why they refuse to hand over signed agreements is that they have lost them or they know they are in the mire.i will carry on as i hope you will.I have even had to change home phone number as lloyds calling all times day and night including sundays.At moment have dealt with over 60 people within lloyds structure from several offices.

Yes i have same problem with Lloyds tsb.Never received policy booklet or any info on exclusions to c/cs or loan.Now i was made redundant and got money so they refuse to pay out.This has crippled our finances and we are running at about minus 500.00 £ per month due to them.I have asked for booklet but they refuse to hand over saying they sent in post-so i asked for proof of posting and voila no they do not have.I have some 15 years worth of paying PPI.I have asked for copies of all agreements i signed and they refuse to hand over copies,even under SAR.I have CAB working on my behalf but Lloyds state they never received paperwork or its lost in Post.CAB have sent three times since 21.07.09 but received no reply.Yhey even got thier solicitors onto me.FOS sent Lloyds a letter to back off as my claim against mis selling PPI and not paying PPI still underway.Lloyds have been requested by FOS to do investigation but they seem to have side stepped that as well. Cab have lodged a complaint to LTsb about not following banking codes,which nothing was done and ignored.They were made an offer but because i am in financial hardship (they have letters to this effect)it does not bother them.They just want money for thier bonuses.i am waiting for court action so i put all before courts
  13. this only works if they (the bank) follow rules.They continually flout these by asking for extra time over the 8 weeks.Normally as i have found they will put final response onto a letter within 8 weeks hoping that you will accept thier answer and go away.The best thing to do is wait the eight weeks but do copy in FOS and also talk with CAB.One thing you do not have to agree is the extra time they request.If they cannot dig out info within 8 weeks then they have a problem.I would also ask for all data that holds yourselves as the data subject from them.
  14. of course thet should be held accountable.but because it has gone on too lonf and people have let them get away with it is going to be hard to break the stranglehold.I personally and many others where i live would prefer that the money given to the banks from taxpayers coffers be taken back straight away and put into something useful like schools or NHS.The banks caused this so why should we help them out and keep paying there bonuses????
  15. most of the time they send out letters that are stamped copy signatures with no name (this has been my experience)I have many from Llloyds tsb and such and when i ask for them to sign i get nothing.If you have quoted i am sure the correct account number and address and name they can verify it,after all if you did this by email or phone how would you sign it.It as a way the banks and such stall,because while they are not acceptiong documentation you are still incurring charges.I have sent letters also without signing so find it strange.If you need further help why not contact Financial ombusdman service or see the CAB
