The original poster probably got fed up waiting for advice and went to a different forum for help. If you can't get consumer advice from The Consumer Action Group, things are pretty poor. Anyone else in this situation, always make sure you do everything in writing and get the full name and position of anyone you communicate with. I had a very similar situation to this. I paid a professional upholsterer £50 to come out and look at the suite, then another £40 to write a report. When CSL received the report, they contacted me with an offer off replacement or settlement. They also refunded my report costs.
