  1. Unfortunately the letters come addressed to her as shes the registered keeper of the car, even though she was at work on the day of the invoice and left the car on the drive (I borrowed it for the morning !!)
  2. It appears I also have to join this forum. I've not heard from UK PC for nearly 5 months then this morning I get a letter from this new lot saying they have purchased the debt and plan to collect, ultimately threating court action. My current plan is to ignore but the wife is starting to wobble !!
  3. I received my first invoice back in August 09 from UKPC and received various threating bits and pieces up until the middle of September, ignoring them all as advised here on the forum. I thought they had gone away and given up, then this morning (5 month later) I received a letter out of the blue from 'Parking Services Limited' informing me they had purchased the debt and that they plan to collect the debt through to a legal conclusion if necessary. Anyone heard of this new lot and do they carry out their threats ??????????
  4. To the doubters I received my 'invoice' back at the beginning of August last year. I then received numerous letters from the debt collectors and solicitors including the 'Notice of intended litigation'. Never acknowledged or replied to any of them, as per advice from this forum, and haven't had anything further since the end of September. May be they've got the message!
  5. Just to let you all know I'm on letter number 6. This mornings was to inform me that Debt Recovery Plus Ltd have now referred my case back to their client and that they propose issuing County Court proceedings against me. However, to stop this their client is prepared to accept a reduced payment if I settle up now ! Still planning to ignore all
  6. OK forum I'm looking for support to give me confidence that I'm doing the right thing by not paying up (The wife's starting to loose her bottle after reading the below which arrived in the post this morning) Just received the letter from 'Debt Recovery Plus Ltd' giving me "notice of Intended Litigation before legal proceedings in the County Court are issued". Their telling me to settle the debt without delay to prevent legal action and unless the debt is settled within 10 days their solicitors may commence legal action. Should I inform them that the invoice is in dispute to make them pass it back to UKPC or just ignore it like I've done with everything else so far ???
  7. What happens if you attempt to use the same car park (or another managed by UKPC) after not paying the original invoice, can they/will they clamp you ?????
  8. Looking for some advice please; Today I parked at the local cinema/bowling/café complex but upon arriving I found I had forgot my cash card, I therefore walked off site to get some cash from the wife who I had dropped off 5 minutes walk away. After using the facilities and returning to my car (2 hours later) I found a fixed penalty on the windscreen informing me that I had left the site and therefore a fine would be coming my way. The time of the penalty was 5 minutes after I had parked the car i.e. the security guard must have pounced as soon as walked around the corner. I did attempt to discuss the matter with the 'gentleman' who issued the ticket without success, "I must take it up with management" was his reply. After reading most of the forum I don’t know which way to play it, ignore the fine from the start when it comes through, or, attempt an appeal as I feel a bit hard done by. My worry with appealing is I am admitting that I was there which will result in a year of threatening letters.
