  3. hi my letter to nationwide is ready to go but this thread has me confused. do i A. send it to charles bacon head office or B. my nationwide branch?? (if its my branch how do i address it properly, i know the address he he) please help i was soooo close and now ive stumbled please note its my `preliminary approad for repayment` im sending, i dont need to do dpa as i have my statements, ta.
  4. i really think you should be a bit more aggressive or your just wasting your time. its done now but not sending it recorded when you stand to recieve 1000 quid is a bit silly (no offence meant) losing a ticket for somthing so important is also silly kick up arse over good luck but what ive read take the advice above, dont start again.
  5. thanks for all your help so far. ive spent the last two weeks reading all the posts and am ready to send my letter. i would like advice regarding the section in RED for this letter http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=671 the preliminary approach for repayment. the section in red refers to defaults put on the credit register. I dont know if there were ay but im sure if my account was sent into arrears with charges (the only way i can go into arrears) that they would have done that automatically?????? so basically can i just add that bit regardless of my lack of information?? my theory being if they did default me (lets be honest they did??) then it will get them removed, if they didnt default me well thats great!! so should i add it, or not in your opinions?? i never sent for the ring rinder full of my statements as i just collected all mine for past 3 years from my accountant (the time ive had account) would the info on defaults that nationwide may have imposed (im sure its them that have caused me credit hassle) have come with that or would i need to pay for a credit check separately. thanks
  6. thanks i gave up earlier, i just couldnt access any pages, bummer as i want my 1st letter in todays post ok so if i can pick up my statements from my accountant then a dpa is not really needed, cool ive only been with this bs a few years (3) and have been a goodish boy so i reckon im only owed 200-300, but its enough. thanks for your help, i swear im reading....to much i think, my heads spinning :-? i see a capitol one claim above....this makes me smile as they charge me 20 quid a month for being a day late....he he i think that will be enough to pay the card off

Hi thanks for the welcome, ok im addicted ive been here all night and am falling asleep in my chair, im having a problem surfin this site i just get error pages somtimes and it is very slow (still a wonderful site) the problemm is im reading how to do everything backwards, ie finding a template and then reading about what it is for and when they are sent. i cant seem to find the find the step by step instructions which i know are right in front of my face in BOLD CAPITALS highlighted in red (probally) if i could trouble you for the right link ill love you forever. The other thing im failing to find is the DPA (with £10). If i have enough statements to tot up a figure do i still need to send this??? Or are we sening that not only for a set of statements going back xxx years but also to find out bad credit marks they have put against us? To be honest ill be able to work that out when i can find the page that describes each stage, rather than the masses of bits of info im tryin to digest at the moment. also sorry if this message appears twice, like i say im strugglin with the site and the 1st time i sent a request it dissapeared . sorry for wastin your time as im sure i cant see it for looking.
  8. am doing that now, i feel justice is just around the corner. i remember also while unemployed for a spell my unemployment benefit entered this account. Due to the charges levied against me previously id stopped using the account on principal and had not being paying it any attention but had forgot about a very small direct debit (about £4 a month) that was still attached. imagine my horror when i noticed id been charged on 3 consecutive months, each months charge sending me overdrawn the next month. When i realised my error (it was my error) they had took all the money the goverment says i need to live on for a fortnight. around £90. that was a bitter pill to swallow luckily (depending on how you look at it) i have had 3 smalls claims proceedings before which i have won all of so on that front i am mildly experienced. my worst area is statements, im not much of a filer especially the ones with charges.....i tend to torture them before filing them in the bin regards
  9. im so glad i found this forum its basically told me what i felt was wrong is wrong. i have already tried getting nationwide to return charges made agaist me some time ago such as being charged when my account had 76pence in it and a £1 magazine subscription tried to go out. they never even paid it and charged me a crzy amount for tryin to go 24p overdrawn. another time i had around 60 pounds in there and the next day a cheque was going to clear for £1700 pounds but they still never paid a £70 debit, charging me for refusing it. then of course i got a 2nd kick while i was down by being charged by my credit card for the payment not being on time. some example of there responses below --------------------- Original Message --------------------- Subject: Re: General Received: 29 October 2004 Dear Mr Creed, Thank you for your message.
