  1. Any thoughts to my new thread above, anyone?
  2. Hi all, HERE WE GO AGAIN!!. I have started this thread as I am after all the help I can get. We have just settled a loan we had with A & L and I have been appauled at the amount of PPI we have had to pay on it. I believed from the start that we did not need it, our loan was for £20k and we were told over the phone that probably without the PPI cover our loan would be refused. At the time, as most people are when having to take out such a large loan, we we're desperate to just get the money and so agreed to have the loan drawn up including the PPI. £80 a month on top of the monthly loan repayment, we really where done over. I've already processed and been successful in claiming account charges from Lloyds Tsb so I have a understanding of how claims work but I'll be honest I have no clue how to go about claiming back PPI. Can anyone offer advice on how it works can you tell me how to start, do you have a thread I can read or point me in the right direction of any template letters?. I've been reading all your threads and one person has got the FOS involved, this seems to be the best way and if there already dealing with a very similar claim, mine will come as no great suprise to them. I was speaking back in May of this year to ChloeJane so Chloe if your reading this, HELP! Clp10dex v's Lloyds Tsb - Won - £2761.44p!
  3. Hi cougar25, Your above thread is very interesting to me. You seem to have a good idea how it works can you tell me how to start, do you have a thread I can read or point me in the right direction of any template letters?. Getting the FOS involved seems to be the best way and if there already dealing with your claim, mine will come as no great suprise to them - who knows we may start a revolution against A & L! Hope you can help and good luck on your claim.
  4. Hello everyone Its been a while since I last logged on but I have news! To all those people logging onto this site for the first time and to all the others that are slowly walking the long and lonely road to claiming there money back I can now confirm that it does work! Yes today the 19th May 2007 we received a letter from Lloyds Tsb's solicitors informing us that they intend to repay our full claim amount of £2502 plus court charge of £120 plus interest, a grand total of - £2761.44p! AMAZING, we cannot believe it. We always had faith from the publicity these claims have received and all the success stories as told on this site that we would get our money back but something tells you in the back of your mind it can't possibly be true. Our thanks to all those who have offered invaluable advice and support from start to finish of our claim, and should I be lucky enough that Martin Lewis himself may read this - you are welcome round my house for a cup of tea and a slice of cake anytime. Good luck to all of you and if I can offer any help or advice please post a reply and I will do my very best to help you. Bye x
  5. Hi Michael and thanks for that info. I am assured that the court have it on file but I'm just a bit fustrated that I haven't even received a notice of transfer to my local court through the post. They say a decision on a date won't be made until the end of June. what do you think?
  6. Hi all I need some advice please. Have called my local court today as have been advised that my case has now been transfered there. They said that the judge still hasn't decided on a date for the case and that as the amount of "these types of cases" is on the increase it has been suggested that he will not decide on what to do until the end of June when he has gathered a few more cases and deal with them in a bundle. Is this normal? I expected to be done and dusted by June, I haven't even received my allocation questionnare yet? PLEASE HELP, I REALLY THINK THE COURT IS MAKING THIS MORE DIFFICULT THAN IT SHOULD BE.
  7. Hello everyone, Well I sent my letter to the solicitors and just 2 days later Lloyds have entered a defence! My husband rang the number for MCOL and they advised that our case has been transfered to our local court, as expected. We have spoken to the court and they say it is with the judge for jurisdicton. I guess this means they will decide on a date for the case to come to court?. What do we think? Keep you all posted!
  8. Hi again, What to we think about this letter? I have pinched some of the text from another thread as I'm rubbish at wording a letter from scratch! Sean Copping Sechiari Clark and Mitchell Department SO, PO Box 499 1-5 Queens Road Quadrant Brighton, East Sussex BN1 3XJ 13th April, 2007 Re: Simon Price –v- Lloyds TSB Bank plc Claim no: xxxxxxxx Dear Sean I write to advise you of the now past deadline date of the 12th April for which a defence was invited against the above claim. I have enclosed a copy of the schedule of charges relating to this case and, through good will gesture on my part, would like to give you a further 7 days for which to settle this claim after which I will be applying to the court for a judgement on this matter. At present the claim stands at £2639.65, which includes the initial claim and the court fees. The reason for this contact is to give your client another chance to settle before additional costs are added to the claim and more of the court systems time is wasted. As I am a member of the Consumer Action Group, I do not know of any cases that you have actually been to court to defend. I will be including this letter in my evidence to show that I have tried to communicate to negotiate an early settlement, and to show the judge that I believe the way you are handling these cases to be ‘An abuse of the court system process’ If you wish to contact me to arrange a settlement please contact me on xxxxx xxxxxx to do so. Yours Faithfully The person I copy a bit from has addressed there's to a Sean Copping. My Acknowledgement of Service does not have a name of the person handling the case just an address for solicitors SC&M. Is he worth sending it to or do we know a better person? HELP PLEASE, I'M A PAIN I KNOW!
  9. Hi all, Ok, I will send them a letter to advise them of a 7 day dead line before I apply to the court for a judgement. Is there a template any where on this site I can use and also to who and where should I send my letter? Feel a bit sectioned out now I have to do this, why couldn't I just get a court date and my AQ like 99% of everyone on here?! It always happens to me. HELP HELP HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!
  10. Hi and thanks for that John. It makes sense what your saying and I really don't want to upset anyone or prolong the agony at this stadge. I think I will write to the bank but if there's a moderator out there who could just also confirm my next course of action please would you respond to the previous but one thread. Many thanks.
  11. Hello, Is Anyone Able To Advise On The Above Thread, I'm Going Out In A Minute So I'd Like To Do What I Can Now!! Sorry To Be Impatient!!
  12. Hi all, Well the deadline date for Lloyds Tsb to enter a defence and for it to be transfered to our local court has arrived and I have had no correspondance from anyone. There is also no refund of charges in my account. Does this mean I have won by default or what happens now? PLEASE HELP!
  13. Hi Michael, and thanks for that. Can you answer my questions in the thread before? Sorry I know its late but its on my mind now!
  14. O MY GOD. Whats an Allocation Questionnare? I think I should have filled in one of these or is it part of the MCOL form you fill in when you register it with the court. Help I think I've made a major mistake, have I missed my chance?
  15. Hello everyone. Well the 12th April is fast approaching and I have to say this is on my mind constantly. I've read threads that show people preparing a court bundle, is the 12th the date by which I will receive a court date for my case as in once I have that from the court I will be given a deadline to get this bundle ready for or am I expecting before the 12th April that Lloyds will settle? Just to confuse things last Tuesday I moved house and although we have put a re driection order for the post in place, I'm worried I'll miss vital information. I will be popping round to my old house to collect any mail that has got sent there but I don't want to seem desperate going round everyday!! I guess at this stadge most people panic - we need this money if only to clear the overdraft that was loaded onto my account to cover all the stupid charges. PLEASE HELP PUT MY MIND AT REST. THANKS
