  1. No correspondence as I dealt with it all by phone (it was before I discovered this forum:(). As for police - no I didn't think to approach them and wasn't advised to do so by crapone (a few years prior to this I had had a fraudulent Visa action dealt with by my card issuer without police intervention). To be honest, I got so stressed at the response I was getting from crapone I wasn't thinking straight. They refused to stop the site from taking payments from my card - said I had to get the site to stop. As I had no idea who the heck it was I was a bit stuffed. TBH I was furious about the way crapone handled the situation but in order to try and protect my credit history I ended up making a payment arrangement to pay back what had been stolen. Could kick myself now but then hindsight is an exact science, as they say.
  2. Fairly new here myself but one thing that screams out at me is that some of these debts may be statute barred if he hasn't paid them for so long. Please don't do anything until someone with more experience comes along with some advice, just on the off-chance. There's light at the end of the tunnel and its not just another debt collector with a torch, so hang in there
  3. Although my Cap1 account is currently in good standing, I know I had charges added in the past and I want to try and recoup some of my losses. Especially as my card was used on the internet without my permission and they failed to stand up to their promises of protecting me from this, resulting in my card going over-limit and charges being added! Not sure if I will get anywhere but starting this thread in the hope that a) it may help someone b) someone may help me. First step, I plan to send them an S.A.R. and see exactly what the situation is. Stay tuned.
  4. In reference to the above, could someone advise who I should send an S.A.R. to? Do I need to send one to each or should B.C.W. have everything?
  5. Hi. I had an account with Amex many years ago which I defaulted on. Two to three years ago I was contacted by Buchanan Clark and Wells to say they were acting on behalf of Arrow Global in respect of my Amex debts. I made an arrangement to pay £15 per week by standing order and I have stuck to that for at least 2 years (thats as far back as my online bank statements go) without missing a single payment. I got a copy of my credit report today from Equifax which shows Arrow Global recorded a default in August 2004. Nothing has been recorded since then - none of the payments I have been making to BCW show up which makes it look like I have paid nothing on account. In reality I've paid about £2000 since then. Can someone please advise me where I stand on this? Cheers
