I am in the same situation, although slightly different reasons how I got there. They took DD for all my payments, then one month changed the bill to £1500 saying that they had not done the bill right. Short answer is get all the info off them about how they managed to cock it up and then do a data subject access request (cost £10) but they have to send all the info they have. Its a long road and you will be pulling your hair out, but dont let them get away with it.

My mum brought a Smart car from Holdcroft garage (large company). The car engine has blown up and she has only had the car for about 10 months if that. It was not new but it should last longer than that. She has taken finance out on it and I am wondering if you guys know what she should do next..

I would speak to the Bailiffs about it and tell them that you need their advice about what to do as you are going to claim the money back.

Good news is they have backed down and written the debt off so your advise worked. They tried to bully me and it did not work stand your ground people.

Since writting this they have now told me that I agreed to extend my contract by 3 months and the letter was sent in error. I do not agree with them about that though. I do not mind talking to them I find them amusing to be honest because there attempts to be nasty are just rubbish.

I am currently being chased for a debt by ARC. Having read about this company it seems that they are nasty people that like to bully anyone they speak to. I had a membership with Esporta and it was problematic from the start. I have fell out with them over many issues including the recomend a friend and the state of the Gym. I wrote to them telling them that I want to cancel after my membership was up and they wrote to me on the 1st April saying that they have recieved this and that they will not take anymore payments. I thought that this was the end of the matter but 1 and half months later ARC write to me. I have called them and tried to explain what is happening and how they have wrote to me saying that they have cancelled my membership but they will not listen telling me there client says to chase me so that is what they are going to do. I explained that I still have the cancellation letter and I was told "well what do you want me to do about that we are still going to court with you". They are rude and unhelpful and now have passed me onto Trevor Munn who refuse to speak to me telling me to speak with ARC. I do that but I would get more sense out of my cat. They try to bully me but when I do not budge they put the phone down all the time. I have spoken to a supervisor named David Ciotola who job it seems is to talk over me and then make things up. I am wondering what I should say to them and what I could send them by e-mail as I am assuming that his e-mail will be his name @arxeuropeltd.co.uk. Thanks in advance guys for the advise
