  1. As in original post I said that clamping was another issue. If the signs mention clamping and are otherwise legally worded then the normal process is pay up for release and dispute legality afterwards , because in my experience , no one will come to your aid in the short term , not even the police. Yes , I agree they are not fines but invoices , but my comments still stand...... ignore it. Goldringer
  2. Very simply , ignore it. Without being too technical The Parking Charge Notice is intended for the driver of the vehicle , the letter always goes to the owner or registered keeper ( not neccessarily the same person ). You are under no legal obligation to tell them who the driver was. This applies only to PCNs issued on private land as opposed to the Public Highway. The only worry is if you keep receiving fines ( and ignoring them ) you may be at risk of being clamped to collect all outstanding fines issued to your vehicle for that site. That unfortuneately is another issue. I hope this helps. Goldringer
  3. Is A '' Notice Of Intended Prosecution '' For Speeding Invalid For Including In The Address A No Longer Existing County ? Goldringer
  4. 1) First of all check the signs on that car park and if the word PENALTY appears anywhere on the signs then the ticket is invalid. Be quick as they are in the process of changing them to make them legal. Only Parking Charge Notices can be issued on private land. 2) The PCN is issued to the driver of the vehicle so if 1 does not apply then write to them and tell them you were not the driver. You are under NO obligation to tell them who was driving. GOLDRINGER
  5. The charge notice is issued to the driver not the vehicle. You are under NO obligation to tell them who was driving. Write to them saying that (whoever received the letter) was not driving and ignore all their replies as they are then powerless to chase the debt as they do not know the name of the driver. 6. The Parking Charge Notice is issued to the driver not the vehicle. Tell them that you were not the driver. You are under NO obligation to name the driver Goldringer
  7. 1) Check the signs first and if the word penalty is mentioned anywhere in the signs wording then the ticket is invalid. On private land you can only issue a Charge Notice or Parking Charge Notice. 2) The ticket is issued to the driver of the vehicle not the vehicle and unlike public road penalties you are under no obligation to tell them who was driving. So if the signs are legal then write to them and tell them that you were not the driver. Goldringer
