  1. Another catalogue debt of my sisters, she (stupidly i suppose) allowed someone to buy item on her account on agreement they woudl repay £100 a month - which they then failed to do - she is now getting threats of debt agencies from catalogue, but she is trying to take the 'friend' to small claims court to see if she can reclaim money that way, however catalogue won't provide original statement for item which is required. Anything we can do? thanks
  2. Hi I have been trying to deal with Additions on behalf of my sister, a laptop was bought on account around same time she discovered fraud on account. Now fraud seemed to be dealt with and new acct no# given, but this carried over debt for laptop - this is not a laptop my sister has. I sent Additions a CCA reqst ltr (forgot £1 so realise may need to resend this) and they sent standard template 'we cannot locate executed copy but enclose current t&c's for this type of account. they also write that acct opened 20/05/06, outstanding bal £724.34 and records show £146 paid in last 12 months. In my CCA letter I also reqstd full breakdown of pymts/debits(incl charges) since supposed laptop bought - not last 12 months {my wording was "This is also a formal request for a separate breakdown of all additional charges (fees and interest) applied with relation to that transaction since."} What can I do to get them to send full breakdown in balance of account - as supposed laptop was only £500....and if £146 paid in last 12 months - assume more paid beforehand (no statements though) then how can balance be £225 above laptop cost still.... I ask as knowing that if they produce CCA in future or we cannot prove sister does not/has not possessed laptop, then I would like to know amount of balance is their charges in order to negotiate settlement figure.... All advice welcomed Thanks
