Hi - further to my last post. I have been in touch with Smart of Exeter to talk about having the spring replaced under SO38 but, having checked the VIN, tell me the vehicle is not covered. Looking on other forums I find examples of almost identical vehicles (age, spec and milleage) being repaired free of charge. It all looks liek a bit of a lottery and I suspect my local dealer of trying it on. They did say they would inspect the car and it might attract some form of goodwill from them but that this wouldn't cover the whole cost.

HI - I have a 54 plate Smart ForTwo (passion) which now has a broken nearside front coil spring. Has anyone had success getting free replacement under SO38 on a car of this age?
