  1. Hi there ,

Just a quick question i need help with guys ,

i have been a customer of perfect homes for 5 years and had a few items off them and most of them are paid off ,

i have currently 3 items left with them and 2 are nearly paid off ,

my question is with the final item ,

if i decide i do not want it anymore ,

and i refuse to pay for it ,

and i have told them i do not want it and to come and pick it up ,

can they actually do anything ?

The reason i ask is the 3rd item is a 2ND HAND TV they sold me over a 4 yr period

    they charged me £3843,

it was a 55 inch curved tv ,

i have paid over £1200+ on it so far ,

and have now come to the conclusion i actually do not want to pay another £2000+ on an item i could go out and buy for a whole lot less ,

( the reason i had it in the first place was i had a 65 inch tv off them previously and it didnt work properly , so i handed it them back and the only other tv they had in stock was the 55 inch tv 2ND HAND !! )

i took that as i didn't have another tv ,

am i in the position where i can keep it after i have paid so much off it ,

or should i just cut my losses and just hand it back ,

because i refuse to pay another penny on it ?

Any help would be appreciated :)

    thanks in advance

  2. hi everyone ,

Just looking for some advice , the situation i am currently in at the moment is this ,

my wife was claiming ESA for the both of us , and we were both on it for maybe 18 months or so , and she also claims PIP ( she was on high rate pip , then on the next medical she got put down to medium rate pip, but never questioned why it had been lowered) , she then got told she needed to go for a medical ( she passed the first medical ) ( she has Idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH) , she has had 3 surgeries so far and its looking like she will be going back for a 4th surgery :( as they still have not fixed the problem yet , and then she went for a medical a 4 months ago roughly , and she received an outcome letter saying she had failed the medical , so she went to citizens advice to seek advice , and got told to take it to a tribunal , which she is doing , so she went on JSA , and they told her she had to go to work courses , even though she was handing in sick notes every month , anyway she has know been told she is going back on ESA at a reduced rate , because shes been handing in sick notes for more than 13 weeks , ( we are losing roughly £93 a fortnight ) until the outcome of the tribunal is decided , does anyone know how long it can take from starting the tribunal procedure to the tribunal date ? its roughly been 3-4 months so far :(

    any advice would be appreciated

    thanks in advance

  3. i have also been advised to take it to pc world and ask them to do a stress test on it , to see what their outcome is ,

the second shop didnt charge me for the blown psu's as he does all my computer work and he offered this out of friendship ,

im assuming he had ome spare in stock and was happy to try them out ,

i dont know that much about the innards of pc's hence why i go to my computer guy :) ,

but yes i want to hit them where it hurts

i was polite the first time and tried explaining the situation which they blatantly mislead me it seems ,

i certainly wont be buying off these con artists again though

  4. wow reading that just went right over my head lol, its the only graphics card in her tower , and she turns her pc off at night and she only plays her guild wars 2 game for a couple of hours a day , so im guessing it should be ideal for her gaming need

when she returned it they claimed to have done a stress test , all of 30 mins of it and provided no proof , just their word it was ok , it clearly looks like they are just passing it off , and it was a nvideo graphics card

  5. hi there ladies and gents ,

i recently purchased a 2nd hand 4 gig graphics card from cex in swansea for £150 , for my wifes birthday ,

she brought it home and then took her computer and her new graphics card to a local computer shop to have it installed correctly

with in a couple of days , her power supply unit in her computer blew up ,

we took it back the computer shop and they did a test on it ,

found out it was the graphics card i bought from cex in swansea ,

the owner of the computer shop then suggested leaving the card with him so he can do a overnight test on it , to see if it did the same to his computers in his shop , we left it there for 2 days

in that time , it had blown 2 of his power supply units to ,

he explained it was the graphics card at fault ,

we took it back to the shop in swansea ,

who then explained they would have to test it themselves ,

after 30 mins , the cex staff came back and told us everything was fine with it , and we were refused a refund ,

i explained that it was within 28 days and i was entitled to a refund under the "short time to reject" option ( consumer rights told me about that one)

they blatantly refused a refund and told me if i wish to sell it back to them , they would offer me £60 ,

no matter how many times i explained that it was faulty he refused to accept that ,

i am now in the process of getting a letter written up by the computer repair shop with proof that it is faulty ,

is there a template available i can send to them demanding a refund

, i have also put in for a chargeback on my card via my bank in regards to this as well ,

i just want to have all my bases covered when i go at them again ,

i was also informed by consumer rights that i could claim consequential losses in regards to having to replace the psu unit in my wifes computer as well because of this .

    any help would be appreciated

  6. ok will try that , just going to see if he reacts to the text i sent him earlier , the company itself have all our incomes and expenditures from when i previously was paying them, but its weird how once a bailiff has been out the office want nothing to do with your account , and hand sole control of it over to the bailiff to deal with , i had just payed off a previous council tax bill of over £500 , and had this to pay , it seems they will try and get what they can without sending out a warning letter first or a phone call , just send a bailiff its an extra £300 + in their pockets ..

  7. hi there , just a quick question ,

iswift credit ( www.swiftcredit.co.uk) at my door this morning ,

they are a debt collection company for the local council in regards to council tax ,

been paying them for over a year ,

and had paid one of the debts off ,

i got in abit of financial difficulty and had missed the last 2 months

( i usually pay £35 a month) , and due to my own fault ,

they then turned up at my door whilst i was out ,

i am still having some financial difficulties ,

when i got home , i rung the office up and offered to pay £20 a month which is better than nothing ,

they willingly took the first payment of £20 ,

then told me thanks but you still have to deal with the bailiff who came to the door ,

hes coming back on thursday expecting £100, or he will get a letter from the court to gain access to my house , to take items ,

i told him i had paid £20 to the office , and he didnt care

he told us he still wants £100 on thursday ( yet the debt i have built up with them so far is only £70 ) and he wants to set up a new plan for £100 a week ,

i told him he can get stuffed ,

where do i stand with this ??

as i offered an amount i can afford and they are saying no ??

yet they never sent no letter telling me i was in default , just sent a bailiff instead ...

  8. ty bazza , yes it was a foolish and costly one , the reason i said $4k was because it was , the way it works is this , you buy a credit pack it lasts for 90 days , then expires but it pays you $60 from the $50 you invested , and with the amount of packs i had i had quite a few expiring and then i was using the $60 i made and investing it into another credit pack , if that makes sense , i have had way more than 235 over the period of time i was in it , but its hard to calculate when packs drop off ( expired) and then when other ones are bought , when i spoke to santander they had amassed all the payments i ever made to this company and its roughly 4 grand there and abouts , and yes it did rely for you to bring in referrals to the business to , it sounded very appealing at the beginning when they showed you how easy it was to earn money , and it had been around for a couple of years as well , might as well take it as a lesson learned i guess :(

  9. Hi there , just looking for a little info in regards to a recent claim i put in to santander and wondering what the outlook may be ?

I joined an online REVSHARE business called " MY ADVERTISING PAYS " back in march 2015 , and this was the first program i had got involved in when i started network marketing online ,

i invested about 4-5 grand in this business over a period of about 18 months ,

the idea of this business was that for every credit pack i bought costing $50 i would receive $60 back , ( yes i was gullible and believed this) as it looked legit at the time ,

i had now managed to purchase 235 of these packs over a period of time ,

i was earning roughly $100 off this program ,

when it came to the time i wanted to withdraw

, they then turned the option off ,

leaving thousands worldwide with mass losses ,

i contacted santander , and put a claim in that i didnt receive the service i had signed up for , and would like them to put a fraud claim in so i could claim the funds back ,

i used my visa debit card to do all these transactions ,

    over the time period ,

they have since closed down " MY ADVERTISING PAYS" and reopened it as " THE ADVERT PLATFORM " and started doing the same again !!

what are the chances of me getting any of the money back ??

    ty in advance

  10. Has anyone else had a nightmare with utility warehouse ?

I have unfortunatly been with them for nearly 2 years , and i am paying roughly £165 a month for all my services ,

like home phone broadband , and i have 4 mobile contracts with them ,

i have never had any issues with them so far until last week ,

i always pay my bills a week before they are due to be taken from my bank a

nd apparently i am a gold customer with them ,

    ( i thought that was a benefit of being a good customer ) ,

apparently it amounts to nothing with them ,

i rang up last week , and i explained i wanted to upgrade a contract early ,

as all their phone contracts have 2 yr terms ,

i wanted to upgrade a contract that was due to run out first , which was in 11 months time,

but i got told that the bill to upgrade early would cost me £88 ,

i asked if i could pay that over the phone with them , and they told me NO ,

you can have the upgrade , but the £88 would go onto the end of your july bill ,

so i said that was fine ,

they told me they would process the order and ring me back the next day ,

the next day came and got no call back ,

i then called back and the same thing happened again ,

and then again the day after , i rung up to complain and they told me i had failed a credit check with them for the upgrade ,

even though i had never missed a bill never paid late and never had a single issue on my account

and i wanted to pay off my remaining upgrade there and then ,

yet 3 of their advisors told me otherwise and said you can upgrade , in the days prior to this call , ,

i told them i was leaving as i didn't appreciate being fobbed off and lied to ,

the attitude started , like they couldn't care less , and now for the past 3 days

my internet has gone from being perfect to very very intermittent ,

it keeps cutting off and then going back on again

, they may seem polite on the phone , but this companies loyalty to their customers is none existant

, and they dont care lol ,

stay away from their are better providers out their !!

  11. hi dx , thankyou for the info , i have sent them an email , with the template above , and i will also send them in a letter as well with the same info on it , i will contact the council today , and ask for the info , but may i ask what exactly would it achieve , as the council seem to shrug off any enquiries once they have been sent over to the bailiffs :(

  12. as it stands at this moment in time ,i dont have a car for him to take ,

and yes i do have the payments saved up ,

and im only £200 in arrears ,

the reason i mentioned him coming here for the wrong reason , was because i recently visited citizens advice

and they told me that , i should have received a letter from them b4 the bailiff turned up , to tell me i was in arrears ,

but they didnt send one ,

and they now seem to be stalling in the info i am requesting ..

  13. hi all , this enquiry is about http://www.swiftcredit.co.uk/ ,

This has been an ongoing saga , but its getting to a point where i want to put a nail in the coffin , so any help would be appreciated ,

I have 2 outstanding debts with them, that were originally from bridgend county council for council tax,

one was for my wife and the other was mine, i was paying £35 a month on the pair ,

last yr i was paying them every month as usual this went on for about 6 months or so , maybe longer ,

    i missed a payment in december 2014 ,

all of a sudden in january 2015 a bailiff turned up at my door ,

i asked him why he was here and he told me , that i had not been paying 1 of the payments and not the other ,

even though every month when i was ringing up to make payment ,

i was clearly telling them to split the payments , which they were doing ,

told the bailiff this was incorrect and i suggest you go back to your office ,

i then contacted the office and asked them why they had sent a bailiff out ,

and they claimed it was due to the problem mentioned ,

they suddenly found out i was actually correct , and they said it would be sorted ,

a month or so later , i emailed them and asked them if they had sorted it out , so i could continue paying as normal ,

and they didn't get back to me ,

a month later i did the same again , and this time i got a response , telling me the bailiff fee wasn't getting removed ,

i rang them up and had a heated discussion with them on the phone ,

about you admitted last time i spoke to you , that he was sent in error ,

then they put me onto a complaints department member ,

who then proceeded to tell me the bailiff had now been sent for that 1 payment i had missed in december ,

i had already told them he wasn't there for that , and she insisted he was ,the call ended ,

surely if i had missed a payment in december , then wouldn't they surely have sent me a latter

saying i was in default or i am late on a payment first ??? before they send out a bailiff ?? ,

i then emailed them back demanding i want a copy of all my payments and i want a copy of the sheet the bailiff ,

came round with back in december !!

now the email was sent at least 2 months ago , and i have had no emails back off them

and i have not had 1 bailiff at my door , in regards to the last 8 months of non payment ,

how do i put a nail in this coffin and end it ??

as this has gone on long enough !!
