  1. Got an email today with a response to the petition, at least we tried to make them see sense. Got quite a few signatures to say the petitions were shot down when the new gov came into power, 120,000 sigs needed to debate in parliment, damn Government response Data retention by Credit Reference Agencies is a matter for the Information Commissioner’s Office. The Information Commissioner’s Office is an independent authority set up to uphold information rights in the public interest. Their work includes agreeing specific business-sector requirements and this six year rule is one of those agreements. The government has no present plans to single out this area for exceptional treatment. The Government is passing legislation to establish a new Consumer Protection and Markets Authority; you can read more about that at the following link - http://www.hm-treasury.gov.uk/fin_consumer_protection.htm The Government is very focused on creating conditions for growth and all options are under constant review. The government’s economic analysis and policy response is formally reviewed each year in the Budget Report. The Chancellor has announced that the date of the next Budget will be the 23rd of this month. Coverage will be available online at the following link – http://www.hm-treasury.gov.uk/2011budget.htm
  2. Lets hope so, but if you say nothing then nothing will be done. Complain to the fsa. http://www.moneymarketing.co.uk/mortgages/more-sub-prime-firms-face-fsa-action-after-%C2%A3840k-fine-for-db/1026633.article
  3. HI all I see in the news the fsa have fined db mortgages and ordered them to pay compensation to its customers.(expecting £400 ) http://www.fsa.gov.uk/pages/Library/Communication/PR/2011/025.shtml They have been overlending, not giving proper advice, excessive charges etc etc Now surely the same would apply to welcome finance without a doubt. I call upon all welcome finance customers to email the fsa and request redress. !!!! Template email needed !!!!! The email address is consumer.queries@fsa.gov.uk The no cca/dodgy cca route is dead, this is the next attack
  4. Been there, done that. Welcome can just make up a cca with the relevant details on, I had this confirmed by an independant solicitor. Chasing the cca/sar is a fantasy of many posters on here. How many court cases are **won"" or success on cag, half a dozen or less. You may not get taken to court but you will be hounded with a bad credit file fo at least 10 years and beyond. FACT Best bet is to knucle down and pay up what you owe.
  5. hey milner what do you mean you cant get a ccj or charging order, if people with secured loans stop paying I would assume it goes to the lewis group who would ccj you then get a charging order.
  6. Here is my annual statement for 2010. I have never missed a payment yet they have charged me a failed dd fee. looking at the statement the july 09 and aug 09 payments have been made, so whats all the stuff inbetween these dates???? Double checked my bank statements and I have not missed any payments. Also none the balances on the right dont add up???WTf Comments please, before i fire a letter off ctrl and + zooms in
  7. A 7 year secured loan I took out in 2008 has been marked as settled on my credit file????? Not missed any payments and five years to go on it, thinking I may now be able to refinance it at a lower apr as my equity will now be more. May even offer 50p in the pound on the outstanding debt.
