  1. My car was involved in an accident (not my fault!) which resulted in it going into a garage to be fixed & them issuing a courtesy car. They took my debit card number & deducted £150 to be refunded upon return of their courtesy car (which was worth a lot less than our car!!). However 3weeks after the return of our car, the refund has not been paid. ...the company say that it can take up to 2weeks & have sent a receipt to say it has been processed. ....it all seems a bit strange.. ..is this normal? How long do I wait? What can I do? Xx
  2. North Tyneside Council Parking Ticket HiI hope someone can help.Last year 8/8/10 I was issued with a parking ticket as I was parked in a residents zone without a ticket or a parking permit. I wrote to the council stating that I dispute the case as there were no places to purchase a ticket and I read the sign to mean that I could park there on a Sat -Sun from 8am -6pm.I heard nothing from them until I recd a notice to owner 22/1/10. I again wrote to the council asking for this to be withdrawn as no offence had taken place and I sent a copy of my first letter with it.I then recd a charge certificate on 2/12/10. I wrote to the council for a third time (really annoyed) with copies of my first two letters.I thought the problem had been resolved as I have heard nothing until a bailiff showed up at my door asking for £356.24 for a £35 fine.I haven't recd notification from a court and NTCouncil appear not to be responding - Can this happen? When I spoke to the bailiff explaining my situation he stated it was not his concern and he just wanted the money!PLEASE HELP!!

  7. Hi I hope someone can help. I have just received notification that SRJ have had a trace confirmation on my name and address and I have been asked to contact them immediately on their 0845 number. I have no debt outstanding and I would like to know what this is relating to but I dont want to contact them by phone and confirm any details due to previous debt issues. Does anyone know who they are? Any advice? Thanks K
  8. Hi, My wife previoulsy took out a loan with her ex for £44k in July 03. When she split with her ex it was agreed that he would continue to pay this. We have just recd a letter stating that she owes £16.5k. From what info I can gather this loan was probably mis-sold at the original outing. As this was before the CCA2006 is this enforceable or what can I do to get copies of the original agreement? Also is there a fee with this? Thanks for the help Kevin
  9. Hi, I am writing this on behalf of a friend who needs some advice. Since taking out a massive loan over £40k, not sure if it is secured, her and her husband have split up. She has been paying this by herself for the past year but can no longer afford to. Before contacting the bank to confirm that she would like to only pay for half, what else can be done and please help regarding the legalities of this. Thanks Kevin
  10. Hi, I have received a letter from the council stating that after a review of my case that I have been overpayed nearly £1700.00 too much!! I questioned this and I was told that the Housing Ben & Council Tax Reg 2001 Reg 4 Para 2 and Reg 100 of the HB Reg 2006 and reg 83 of the CT Benefit regs 2006 applied and that I should have known that I was being paid too much. This has come about due to a payment from working tax credit which I informed them of on 1 occassion before the claim was made and a further 3 occassions during the claim. They still state that its my fault and that I have to pay it back. Please help. They have the knowledge, I followed the rules and I am being persucuted for their mistake Thanks Kevin
  11. I have now sent off the first letter - fingers crossed!!
  12. Hi, Received all the statements today. I am busy going through them to see total of charges. What do I do next in reference to the claim? Thanks Kevin
  13. Hi Thanks for the info. The bank have said that they are going to send the statements since the account has been live, less than 6 years, with no charge - result!
  14. Hi I have today decided that I have had enough of FD and their ploy over unfair charges. I have asked them for a list of all my charges and what they relate to as I intend to get them all back. I was wondering if someone could comfirm how long I can claim from and any of the formal letters I need to send. I understand that all claims have been put on hold, from what little I have read, but any further info on this would also be readily received. Anything else that you think may help would also be appreciated. K
  15. Thanks for your help, I will write to them informing them that I am not paying and if I receive 1 more letter I will inform the above!
