  1. Thanks for your advice Buzby. The contract expired last summer. I just want to cancel the contract as we have hardly used the sims plus the credit is nearly finished. One sim has not been used at all, and the other must have been used to make 2-3hrs worth of calls max since the start of the new contract in summer 2007. I must add that in the original call, I by accident, said "Yeah thats your fault" when they informed me of their error. Which to them came across as I knew they had made an error, when I didn't. I phoned them up again yesterday to cancel the contract, but again the 'error' was mentioned however the advisor "completely understood" where I was coming from, and informed me that the manager would phone me on monday to discuss the issue. She also pointed out that the first CS guy noted that I "knew they made an error" but I was quick to point out it was a misunderstanding - I hope that doesn't come back to haunt me. I will stand my ground tommorow thats for sure. Is it ok to ask for the original contract terms and conditions as well as the transcript of the original call when the contract was agreed? Thank very much:)
  2. From what I've been advised on other forums, they can't...
  3. Can anybody confirm what Andie said please? Once again, the new contract upgrade was done over the phone. Thanks!
  4. Nope it was all over the phone. The thing is we didn't even want the contract back then. I say 'we' because my mother is the contract holder but I am the one that uses the sims. She isn't the cleverest person when it comes to these things and said 'yes' to the contract when offered it. Obviously there was no going back once she agreed to it.... Now these mugs are trying to rip us off. It'll be interesting whether they call back or not cos as it stands, their gonna be charging £25 p/m as the free credit has ran out. It's worrying me anyway because it's not our fault!
  5. Hi all, I just came across these forums through google, and thought I could get some valuable advice from here. I upgraded 2 contracts of mine with CPW a couple of years ago. It was a free 12 month contract (for both sims) where they just offered x amount of free credit. The contract expired last summer. The credit is more or less finished so I rang them up earlier to cancel the contract but the advisor offered me a new deal. As soon as I said that I'd rather cancel the contract (due to poor signal etc) the advisor said that they gave me extra credit in error and that I'd have to pay back £300*2 for both sims. I was obviously annoyed and said that it's their problem for not noticing it and not my problem at all. The advisor said that they will have to look into it and would ring back later. Where do I stand on this? as it is not my problem that their imcompetant staff credited me with extra credit and failed to notice it all this time. I can't even remember how much they initially gave as I hardly used the sims in the first place. It was free so I wasn't really bothered what they gave. Any advice?:-? Thanks
