Hello, I'm considering looking into reclaiming 6 years worth of bank charges from the Bank of Scotland (a large, as yet unknown, sum). However, I'm not sure whether I should claim under English law or Scottish. I currently live in England (about 50 yards from the border), but the last registered address they have for me is in Scotland. I've moved backwards and forwards between Scotland and England for the last 6 years, incurring charges whilst living in both countries. The BoS closed my account *after* I had moved back to England, but *before* I registered my new address with them. So which legal system should I use? Since the charges are likely to be over £750 (I guess between £2k and £3k), I'd rather use the English system. Is this viable? Thanks, Matt
