  1. HMKHB thank you for the advice. My friends have told me to go to the police but what if this inflames him further? He has given me the TD details and I have checked that it is held with them but he now feels thatI will have no legal recourse at all. Is this true? Im not concerned about my deposit now but the fact that I believe he will come round on saturday. Do you believe getting the police involved may stop him doing this? I have already taken time of work to deal with this issue. I just dont know how to stop him. oohh. I got a bit emotional there. Wont happen again. Promise. LOL. xx
  2. Latest update; My LL has just been roundand given me 2 months notice, which i asked for. He's also put my deposit in a scheme today so that means i cant sue him doesn't it. He has also threatened to tell my employer that I wont move out and to tell people at my daughters school what is going on. He has said, once again, that if he doesn't get the keys on saturday I will regret it and also that he will blacklist me with all estate agents in the northwest(!!?) He also said that he will get a ccj against me for the money I owe and he will bankrupt me and he will follow me around for the rest of my life making my life a nightmare (Idid laugh at this as I'm emigrating at the end of summer) What, if any, action do you think is now available to me? I really want to get him back because he once again threatened me whilst my daughter was nearby.

  4. Hi. I posted this on a previous thread a few weeks ago. but more things have happened now so I'd really appreciate any help on any of the issues raised. hi, i hope someone can help me. I started renting my home on Dec 9th 2008 and pay £600pcm in rent. Due to family circumstances i have to leave and as my LL wishes to sell this property ASAP he agreed that i could break the contract I allowed my LL to show a prospective buyer around my property today and he came back this evening and said he wants me out by sunday because the house is a mess ( a couple of stains on a carpet and apparently a few other things he's made a list of but hasnt told me what they are) I'm aware he cant just throw me out and we agreed that i would leave by the 8th of march, which was the date previously agreed upon. I owe him £266 in arrears and he has said that he's going to keep all of my deposit, my next housing benefit payment and, if i dont restore the house to its original condition, blacklist me with all the local estate agents! I haven't received anything which tells me where my deposit is located and he didn't seem to know what i was talking about when i asked which scheme it was held with. I live with my young daughter and i really dont appreciate being threatened with eviction in 6 days when my daughter is sat on the stairs behind me listening . This is the update: I have now rang the schemes and no-one is holding my deposit. To top it all my LL rang me today and said he's coming to get the keys this weekend. I told him I require 2 months eviction notice and he told me that I was making a big mistake if I think I can do this to him and that he has sold the house so I have to go! Can anyone help me?

Do you think i have a case for non deposit in a scheme? if so, shall i take it to court? I only really want my deposit back so is there any documents i can send him making him aware he's breaking the law? I feel this would be a nicer way to end my tenancy ( or i'm just too soft) thank you all.
