  1. Hi all, I recently got call from a company name priority money club offering loan. However during the phone conversation i was told that £1 will be charged as trial to check if my card is working.I got letter today from this company which confuse me.It states that "Your £69 documentation fee will show on your bank statement as priority money club on the day we agreed on the telephone. Our loan providers do not charge any upfront fees to our customers so they will process your application through to completion without any further charge. To keep our charges low as possible we do not have customer service call centre." I did give my card details but we never had any disscussion about £69 nor did they read to me their T&C.They send me a form which says different loan company name.My confusion is will they take the £69 in advance or only after I signed the other form they sended me.Please help me in what I can do .I don't want this loan as the rate is rocket high and if I can get my money £69 back if they do charge me.I have called bank today and reported card lost(the one I gave this finance company). Will my bank allow the money to them after reporting lost
  2. Hi, I just received reply from Equifax as below, Thank you for getting in touch. Clarity Credit Management Search: 'Outstanding debt' searches displayed in the 'Table 1' section of a Credit Report will have been carried out as part of a debtor tracing procedure by the creditor or their appointed agent. These searches aren't visible to any lender performing a credit application enquiry or to any other creditor tracing a debtor or collecting overdue debt. This information remains on your credit report for 2 years from the search date. For further information on the search you should contact the company that carried out this search. Is it true that information as 'outstanding debt' in table 1 are not visible to other searching lender?
  3. Thanks BRIGADIER2JCS .I will send the letter and feed any update from them here.thanks once again.
  4. Thanks for the reply...the company involve is clarity management.they made 1 unrecorded enquiry and then made 3 searches as outstanding debt..I am bit loss because i did not authorise these searches and there are no outstanding debt in my credit file....if they can see once in my file that there are no outstanding debt why are they keep on searching my file which contain my personal information...They said I own a debt which i did not acknowledge however from the timing they gave me I got to know that the account has reached statute barred...I also found out that statute barred account being sold to them...Is statute barred account allowed to be sold...I have contacted equifax with no futher response...But instead they kept on searching now making it difficult for me to get a small amount loan.Mckenzie debt management send me a message through my equifax where they have said that statute barred debt are enforceable...Is this right... I am pasting the message they sended me: "Response Linda xxxxx via Email 14/07/2011 10.12 AM Dear xxxx Thank you for getting in touch. Mackenzie Hall Search The company has investigated your query and have asked that you get in touch with them directly using these details. This information will remain unchanged on your Credit Report. Please see response below: "Upon investigating this matter I can confirm that you have been linked to account xxxx held by Mackenzie Hall. Based on the information you have provided, this link is correct. Furthermore, I can confirm that any search carried out by Mackenzie Hall is with regard to an unfulfilled contractual obligation held with our client. Authorisation for such a search has been given under the terms and conditions of the original credit agreement. A debt will only stay on your credit file for a maximum of 6 years. Even when it is removed from your credit file, it does not mean that said debt is unenforceable. Therefore a search carried out for the purposes of collection of said debt is fully permissible. Search in question is to remain on credit file as debt remains outstanding. I request that you contact our offices on xxxxxxxx quoting reference xxxxxx to discuss repayment of your account". The note that we added, stating that your information was in dispute has now been removed. You’ll find more information about your credit report at equifax. If you have a question, you should find the answer in our FAQ section. If not, you can send us an online query, and attach your documents to it - no need to worry about them getting lost or delayed in the post. I hope you find this useful. If there’s anything else we can do for you, please let us know. Kind regards Equifax Customer Services " Please advice me further. These people also have been rude to me several time...
  5. Hi to everyone at CAG. I am posting here as I desperately need advice.I recently searched my credit history in Equifax.I found out that 1 company has been doing numerous search which state as unclassified and two searches as 'outstanding debt' and the latest was on 26/01/2012.This company did not even contact me or even gain my authorisation.I did not have any outstanding debt.Is there any way I can stop this.Isn't searching my credit file which have most of my information without my consent is not right.I don't think they can prove that they have my consent. Please help me and thank you in advance
  6. HI thank you for wonderful reply, The have updated the entry when they acquired the debt however the letter they had been sending me stated their updated date as the default date. The information on this debt in credit file has been cleared last year.I called up the credit reference agency and they told me that they will clear defaulted account after 6 year where it attained statute barred status. This RW has been chasing me 6 months after the debt information has been cleared from credit reference agency..
  7. HI all in CAG, Thank you for previous help. I have a big problem with robinson way. They are claiming that I owe them. The main thing is that the debt that they are claiming has attained statute barred in 2010 which meant that the debt is 7 years old. But they insert their update date which is in october 2008 and are trying to claim the debt .I have not previously acknowledge the debt in any way where I even changed our landline phone number. Now they are threatening me with doorstep visiting agent. I know that they shouldn't change or cheat me with the default date. However I have only one report from call credit which I had saved previously indicating the default date is on 2004 where I have lost other document regarding the debt. Please help me as I am having hard time finding template letter. If I am to write to them complaining about the default date should I produce proof or should I ask them the last statement without acknowledging the debt or should I continue ignore them.. i am pretty confused..
  8. Hi, thank you for the reply.I will send the letter sooner.. I have another problem where i got letter today from robinson way. They are claiming that I owe some amount from capital one where the day of arrears has been changed by robinson way.The original default date for that amount was supposed to be in 2003.The debt collection agency has changed the arrears date to october 2008 with the same reference. This happens after credit reference agency removed that particular statue barred account from their website.I know that they are not allowed to change or renew once being default date.I did not acknowledge nor paid anything. Please help me.I really need help ...thank you very much in advance.
