  1. Hi I am not sure if this question has been answered on the forum. I wrote letters to Barclaycard to accept token payments and they refused although i continued making the payments and had sent my debt to mercers. I have 2 barclays accts business and personal. I placed money in a personal barclays savings accounts a few days ago and went online to check my statements to find they had taken two payments as standing orders from this saving account. I never had any standing order with them. And I definitely did not set up a standing order!!! Can Barclaycard do this? Is there anyway I can get this money back from Barclays? I'd appreciate a response. Thank you In Advance
  2. Thanks Tracey I will seek help from the site helpers.
  3. Oops Tracey I did not know that was your name. I called up experian and they were able to provide me with all the reference numbers on my report. I have held two Barclaycard accounts, I paid SAR for one in July 2006. Does it mean I have to pay another 10 pounds to get a SAR for my second Barclaycard account?
  4. Hi The most difficult company to reclaim charges from is Barclaycard. I started DPA back in July 2006 but was not following up hence the delay. I received the usual May 2004 statements. I want to make a complaint to OFT but I am not sure what to say, can anyone provide me with an OFT complaint letter template, I would appreciate your help. Thanks
  5. Thank you martin, For giving me that experian number now I have hope in reclaiming charges for all accounts held. Glad I helped towards finding your report.
  6. Thanks Welshman for letting me know what will happen in the next 28 days. I did not want to reach the Allocation Questionnaire I guess that is typical Of Barclays. I hope to get the money before Christmas
  7. Hi everyone, I was looking forward to file judgement on my mothers Barclays claim for £4000 on 11 Nov because that was their last date at MCOL. Then on 10 Nov I logged onto MCOL and they filed a defence.I was Angry mad, now I have to wait 28 days:mad:
  8. Hello martin's little pupil, I held 2 Barclaycard accounts and one I finished paying of in August 2003, never kept the paperwork and as usual barclaycard refused to provide me with that information. Could you please tell me how Experian provided you with the account number I have my report with me and its shown, I would really appreciate it:confused:
  9. johnc007, it seems Barclaycard refuse to be moved by your response. I have received the same letters and Information Commissioner needs to do something about it.
  10. Hi I received a response from Barclaycard and the over-estimation letters of charges was not effective. They did not provide any statements and instead said they will refund the charges, the difference of £12 and the original charges. They have placed the refund in my current statement. The route to go is a County Claim Court.
  11. Hi, I agree with Glenn UK the only way to get round the microfiche argument is to Overestimate the charges and then Barclaycard will respond. I have done that and awaiting reply on 19 October 2006. Barclays have accessed their microfiche library and they had no difficulties.
  12. Hi, I received no response from Barclaycard when I responded to their microfiche letter. After reading another user's response I decided to OVERESTIMATE the amount owed to £2000 plus £500 interest charges, I know they owe me less. They responded with a letter that they will investigate the matter and reply by 19 October 2006. I will take them to court with those charges and they will have to defend the claim
  13. Hi, I sent one of the letters Alan had written to Abbey about the microfiche issue on 1st August 2006 never received a reply. Barclays and Monument have provided the microfiche statements so Barclycard is stalling with theirs. From your posts I am going to send an LBA with Overestimated charges thats when they will respond.
  14. Yes, I have not used the card for nearly two years. Monument restricted my card until I pay them off the outstanding balance. I am the process of writing the preliminary letter.
