  1. Hi there If you go to cccs on the internet the charity organised consolidation company your interest is frozen and you pay fixed payments, i am doing it myself so i know its true. Tony
  2. Hi. Has anyone got a copy of the payment protection cover form for an MBNA credit card i took out in 1998 with norwich union as the insurer. thanks Tony
  3. Hi Has anyonee out there got a copy of the credit card aggreement dated 1998 that i could have a copy of. many thanks Tony
  4. Hi there. May i ask whether you took out ppi with norwich union back in 1999 which was their underwriters at this time as i really need a copy of this as they have changed to st andrews ppi since then and they are trying to get out of paying ppi on my illness. would be so gratefull if you have. many thanks tony pepper j_pepper@btconnect.com
  5. Hi thanks for replying. i am not sure about whether i asked for ppi back in 1998 thats why im trying to get hold of my original aggreement. but they dont want to give it to me they keep sending me an up to date terms and conditions for 2008. I dont know if anyone knows but st andrews new terms and conditions has now changed the meaning of the start date being " the date your agreement starts" to "the date your aggreements starts or if you apply for your insurance at any other time the date on which you apply your application is accepted by us. well i know that when i applied for a credit card the terms and conditions did not say this, so it seems to me we are being ripped off to the extent of they actually dont want to pay out.
  6. Hi there. sorry to hear about your problems, and hope you resolve them, but you may be able to assist me. My ppi was also with norwich union back in 1998 and they also tell me they dont have a copy of the original ppi i took out, but i wondered if you have a copy of the terms and conditions of the ppi from norwich union that you could poss scan or email to me. I would be most gratefull. Tony pepper j_pepper@btconnect.com 0120603708 PS hope you get yours sorted out. dont worry if you cant help me it was a long shot anyway.
  7. Hi there This is a very long story dating back to 1998 when i took out a credit card with MBNA and agreed to payment protection insurance which was underwritten by Norwich Union, i spent and paid happilly up untill 2006/7 when i had a accident on my shoulder and went to claim ppi to be told that NU did not underwrite for MBNA anymore and they had changed to ST Andrews insurance, of which was new to me, but i filled in the form and sent it off quite merrilly expecting a cheque in the post, but no they refused to pay, as i had sold my company and was working for them for 16 hours a week for pocket money more or less, but under the governments estimate for paying class 1 contributions, so unknown to me i was refused ppi payout due to not paying stamps although after them notifying me of this, they still took it on themselves to carry on charging me £130 odd a month, Now i seem to think that this clause came about class one stamps comes about in early 2000 and was not around in 1998, as i was informed by someone in St Andrews insurance group that yes they had made changes to the terms and conditions when they took over the underwriting in 2001. Is anyone out there knowledgeable enough to throw any light on this matter. If so i would be most gratefull. tony.
