  1. Strange - thought I'd posted that info but it's not there Date of default June 2010 Amount £9400 ( now £7,800) No PPI on it Yes, it is on my credit file
  2. Thanks DX - therefore if I choose not to pay them any more they can do nothing?
  3. OK, thank you. Not a risk I can take. Appreciate your help.
  4. Just checked and its £7,800 now. I'm paying £49 month and they ring me and try to get me to increase every 6 months. I don't want to impair my file any more, nor do I want to pay them if they cannot harm my file.
  5. Thanks Brigadier, If I stopped paying BLS could they worsen my credit file by putting AP on it?
  6. Default date 10/06/2010 Amount £9489 ( now £8427) No PPI or penalty charges Yes, it's on my file If they had put the default on when I couldn't pay the full £200/month it would have disappeared by now, but they waited until they passed it to BLS, even though I never missed paying them the £49/month arrangement I agreed with them. It's stopping us from moving house.
  7. OK thanks dx. Guess I must keep paying then.
  8. Hi all, Lloyds TSB put a default against my name for missed loan payments about 3 years ago, despite me never missing a payment on an "arrangement" I had with them. They defaulted me while simultaneously passing the debt onto BLS Collections, who I have now been paying for those 3 years. My question is - will it do my credit file any harm if I just stop paying BLS? According to my credit file, I have no agreement with BLS, just a defaulted loan account with Lloyds Tsb. Can BLS damage my credit file in any way if I stop paying them? Thanks in advance.
