  1. Hello, ADVICE NEEDED Update: Having no response from VIL Collections regarding my SAR request at all and having now waiting on Royal Mail to come back to me to confirm the postal order had been cashed. I have had a letter arrive today form yet another dca called Scotcall who are threating me with a doorstep collection notice unless I contact them by phone and pay immediately. Please could some one advise me on what to do with regards to this. Many thanks
  2. Hello, well it is day 40 today and nothing back in the post and have not had a single call from them since I posted the SAR request! What do I do now that the 40 days have past? thanks
  3. Posted the SAR request yesterday, so will keep you updated on the response. How long do I have to wait?
  4. Should I send them a cheque for £10 or obtain a postal order made payable to Vilcollections?
  5. Hello, I received no response to the letter I sent Vilcollections on the 26/03/2010 regarding the account being in dispute. Then on the 08/04/2010 they sent me another letter giving me 7 days to repay in full or legal action would be taken. Then today 26/04/2010 I have had another letter from them as attached stating that I have another 7 days otherwise they will issue a court claim in the next 14 days! If someone could please look at the letter attached to give me some advice on what route to take next as I have not had any authorisation from them that they are allowed to deal with this matter and no response regarding my request for authorisation. I have also had several telephone calls which I have not answered from them and have posted a letter to them to today regarding harrasement and not to call me or visit me in person and again pointed out they have failed to show me thay hae authorisation to do this. I look forward to some advice regarding this thanks vil.v1.pdf
  6. Hello, UPDATE After not getting any response from Moorcroft regarding this being in dispute things went quiet. Then yesterday I had a answerphone message from Vilcollections asking me to contact them but they did not say what it was regards. So of course I wiped it straight away! Today a letter now has arrived from the telling me to send immediate payment with a balance that im sure they have plucked out of the air. If I cant settle it to call them and speak to the collections department immediately! I am now sending them the letter I sent to the past other 5 dca telling them this account is in dispute and would like any other advice to see if I should be doing anything else. Many thanks
  7. Hello, Just a quick update to say that since I sent moorcroft a letter on 9/11/09 stating the account was in dispute they have not written or attempted to call me!! I take it that another DCA bites the dust on this one!! cheers
  8. changed, pressed the wrong button thanks for letting me know
  9. I think this attachement might be better for you to look at. please help with what to reply thanks moorcroft.v1.pdf
  10. Hello, After no contact from anyone regarding this matter since July, seemed like they ignored my letters and finally decided to stop calling! a new letter arrived today. Yes you guessed it another differenct dca and again I have not been informed that it has been sold on to yet someone else!! Please find attached the letter arrived today as they dont seem happy! and advice on how to reply to this would be very helpful Thanks
  11. Hello, United Creditors Alliance are actullay RMA pretending to be a different company! I had the usual letter from them after being harrased by RMA and wondered who they were, then some numpty who usually called me from RMA left a message but got tounge tied and said she was calling from RMA before realising her mistake and changing it to United Creditors Alliance! Hope this gives you some help with who they are Debbage
  12. Hello, some further updates since my last post. Well nothing came from the solicitors letter and RMA have still called me a few time each week which I have not answered. at the beginning of June I wrote to them stating that they have still failed to reply to my letter from the 16th Feb asking them to prove they are authorised to speak to me as more then one dca has been chasing this and I shall not respond to any calls. Then another dca called United Creditors Alliance sent me a letter with all the usual threats on the 7th July. Then the funny thing happened which I think they have dropped themselves in it further, is that I had a call from the same lady who is from RMA who got a bit tounge tied on the phone and started to spurt out RMA before changing halfway to United Creditors Alliance. To me this seems to be breaking the OFT rules but anymore advice on this would be great and what to respond to them with, or shall i send again the letter telling them other DCA are dealing with this to confuse them again? Many thanks
  13. Hello, Today I have just had a letter from Westminsters Solicitors dated the 11/05/2009 telling me that I have 7 days to repay the balance with a heading of Notice before legal proceedings. It arrived today which is the 16/05/2009 so they have not given me 7 days! any advice on this would be great as this reminds me of a letter I got a few months ago from copes solicitors. This one states that Westminsters solicitors have been instructed by RMA acting on behalf of amex. I still have no reply from them from a letter I sent regarding proof that RMA are dealing with this and these solictors say they have been instructed by RMA on behalf of american express which I sent to them at the start of Feb, but still had lots of calls from them asking me to call them! Is this all another scare tactic? any advice would be great Thanks
  14. what a surprise no visit and no telephone calls from RMA!! and the card they posted promised they would be calling on Friday! see how long before the next contact is made
  15. Hello LL, It has been very quiet for a while until a couple of days ago a card came through the door stating that someone from RMA will be calling on Friday! and if inconvenient to call them. Of course I called them to tell them it was inconvenient and had to leave a message as no one answered. I am looking forward to them calling as the last contact I made to them was when I wrote to them and another agency who were chasing me telling them I would not divuldge any information until I had confirmation from amex or newmans dca to confirm you were authorised to deal with this matter. So as this has not happened they will be having a wasted journey as I will be giving them a copy of the letter if they turn up. Also they have no chance of getting any money out of me now as my situation has taken a turn for the worse with my employer going into liquidation and owing me wages etc. I hope yours stays quiet!
