  2. Doc, i think that was the market value quoted, But i took out Gap insurance on my car and i didn't have finance so where would i stand if my car £19000.00 was written off before the three years were up? Thanks for your help,Slipp
  3. My son's car has been written off by his insurance company, they have offered him £8600.00 payment, when he bought the car two and a half years ago he paid £16000.00 for the vehicle but he did take out the Gap insurance on the vehicle. My question is this will the Gap insurance company make up the deficit (from £8600.00 to £16000.00) or just make a payment to finish finance outstanding on the car? Any help would be great thank you and Merry Christmas to all.
  4. Dx, I am just going to the garage to see the repairshop chap and see what he has to say, thank you.
  5. My son's car was badly damaged in a car accident, the garage repair service( his own insurance company reccomended) say they might be able to repair the vehicle, now can my son refuse this and ask for the car to be written off as he wouldn't feel safe driving it again. Any help would be great.

  10. We recentley had a party for my wife's 50th, it was held in a local social club and we paid £50.00 deposit for damage etc. Now we recieved a letter from the Father of the club stating (with photo's) someone had brought a bottle of Aftershock and a small bottle of Whisky into the event for thier own consumption, The father has deducted £40.00 from our deposit as a corkage charge!! As there was no door supervision provided by the social club is it our responsibilty to check guests as to what they bring in? I would like to compose a letter stating my disgust at the fathers Actions any help would be greatfully accepted thank you.
