  1. Hi All Sorry if this is a repost but dates back from 2009 from the BBC http://news.bbc.co.uk/today/hi/today/newsid_8403000/8403379.stm
  2. They have done this to me as well My loan was with A&L and now transferred to santander the letters all seam to say the same!
  3. Hi I have had no other calls from that number but another strange number came up but found that one it was a firm touting will making services !! the funny part is I am registered to TPS and yet they still come. The other problem I found I am pestered by indian by firms trying to solve debt problems but as they are international calls although I already bar undisclosed numbers ( Boy that annoys dcas as I log the number into the phone and just don't answer or put the phone talking to the TV LOL) I would have to bar all international numbers!
  4. Hi All Does anybody recognise this number 01268670025 I googled it, It originated in basildon and I suspect it may be a DCA I called it and was a voice mail box 225 ? Anybody know anything ? Why not start listing all the DCA numbers!! cheers all
  5. I love roxy site especially the debt help section "raise extra income"
  6. Hi I take that as a resounding go for it. The reason for not being in full battle mode myself is that as a full time carer and required to be at close proximity. Does not allow me to mount the battlements myself or take part in the jousting at court, where I can avoid it. My creditors on average have been very good but there does seem to be an inverse law that states the smaller the amount the ruder they become. Although in the 80's I did gather a couple of CCJ's in them days it was the OC that took you to court without all those penalty/late fees and unjustified interest. I have other gripes as regards to unpaid Direct payments from the Government to fight for which is on going. My main thought at the moment is to take advantage of it being a general election year and to raise the Temp for all our beloved politicians. Also with the banking crisis arising from this financial horse trading is another good reason to go for it! Time to start licking stamps!!
  7. Hi All First of all good luck to all that are being pursued and I wish I had some of your courage in fighting these organisations i am too polite sometimes. As I am not being taken to court at the moment I will start to write to all our MP's raising the very questions raised here. Hopefully getting questions in the house for instance are there tax loopholes being used by these. If anyone has objections to this course or feel that it could hinder them please reply.
  8. Hi Vjohn82 That thread you linked to increases my theory that the whole banking mess including the debt collection industry is based on money that has never existed (E.G. you can never realise the value of an asset until is liquidated). Also as the DCA's buy these debts for pence also reenforces my theory. What is needed in this country is to get back to old style banking in that you would only be loaned what you could afford. The courts and the government could solve this for future but as it stands GAG seems to be the only white knight in the field. As shown by the use of screen shots of GAG in court! What would be interesting to know are there any commercial solicitors in the forum on our side?
  9. Well done!! Hope you get awarded costs.
  10. Hi All Has anyone had any thoughts on this yet or is it dependant on that test case going ahead????
  11. Just a thought I have posted this question in another thread but no one replyed. Has any one ever had a CCA enforced post 2006 CCA act change with regards to the CCA not being signed. I read on the news the other day that there are currently about 10,000 cases over this CCA thing backed up in the courts and they are planning some test cases I will try to find the link. in the mean time does anybody have any real world information - links etc. http://www.judiciary.gov.uk/publications_media/media_releases/2009/1609.htm
  12. Thanks for that but what about that 2007 bit does that mean even without an agreement they coud get it enforced?? I am very worried about that.
  13. I have today recieved a letter from them stating that they may take me to court to get their agreement enforced i have enclosed a scan please help!!
  14. Hi All Just a quick update JD sent me a letter saying I owe them but if I don't pay they will not continue collection. But their side kick RC writes every little while prodding me but I reply with their letter saying they will not continue with collections. Littlewoods not a sound nor from moorcroft after taking the advice given. But this could also be due to the fact that I moved but I still receive mail from my old address. I will let you all know if there are any other developments.
