  1. I've heard various opinions on this. I'm under the impression that when you go on a debt management plan (reduced payments, usually frozen interest) either by yourself or with the CCCS etc, the creditors report this on your credit file with a 'DMP' on there and this stays on the credit file for 6 years and is basically treated like a default. I've heard others say it doesn't show. Surely if it doesn't one could go and keep getting more money and just go on a DMP and not pay interest? I believe that if you have an account on a DMP, you will not get another card or loan.
  2. I used to work at MBNA and worked with Gordon Matthews. Debt Clear IS MBNA. They all sit together and have a phone number for a different area (Bolton maybe?) and it directs it to Chester. You have nothing to be worried about. MBNA will never send doorstop debt collectors and if they do they're probably more scared than you are! I'm suprised Mr Matthews is still working there to be honest.
  3. I'm looking to compile a list of all known credit card companies, who they usually sell their debt to, who they say their solicitors are and also who their in house 'fake' debt collection agencies are. I know MBNA have Debt Clear in house. If you have any info, please post it here so I can compile a list.
