  1. Hello everyone, I am seeking some advise on a social media site for travellers. I created account with them over 10 years ago, since I have hundreds of friends and hundreds of personal references. I was very active member since I joined this site and since I promoted the site bringing the traveller's community together. There are thousands of volunteers who actually help building this site and now we are banned. This used to be a free site with millions of members all over the world but it was sold and now bought by a company, who wants to make money by start charging member. If you don't pay, then you are behind the paywall unable to contact your friends. They are also deleting many other members profiles simply as they disagree with them. My profile was deleted because I shared external links in private messages. Like Facebook or WhatsApp links. I can log in to this site by using Facebook, and I can share activities in Facebook but I cannot do this in reverse sending Facebook links to the subjected web site members. They block you as soon as you send a message using external link. I was suspended unable to log in to my account, unable to contact my hundreds of friends and unable to read or respond messages. And now my account was removed, I have lost everything I had in social media network. This site was next to my family and we all had really deep rooted emotions attached with people on the site. It is not only me, many other are suffering the same fate. My question is how can I claim my personal data from them as the site is based in the USA. Is their any way taking them to the court for this unpleasant punishment by not letting you contact with your friends. As not everyone in all types of social media. Any help? This message was received from them. Since then no other method to contact them. They don't respond. They have all my information and I don't know if they have deleted everything? We have issued you multiple warnings about keeping communication on our platform, and multiple warnings about creating new accounts.   2. When I took the contract, one salesman came to my door, I did explain him that I want to keep the number and I was told it is possible after the disconnection of my old contract. It did not happen. I chased them over 3 month and I was told in many occasion it is under process and they will cancel the new Gigafast and re-contract it again with my old number and I could be without connection for up to 48 hours. They event send me extra sim card to use internet during the process of porting my number and I received it. This new sim even shows in my Vodafore profile. But then last week they called and said it is not possible and I was given wrong information. It looks like my old number is lost after 4 month of misinformation given by them. I even asked them few times to send me the code to port my number to a different network but they did not send me anything.
  3. It was my home number. As a family we have from two different backgrounds and all our friends, families, kids schools etc has this number. I have this since over 15 years and I found it very difficult to replace it. I may lose contacts with many friends or some businesses as well. But mostly I use my mobile number for business only and landline for friends and family. It is not only myself but my whole family would suffer a family of four.
  4. I had a landline number for more than 15 years and did changed my service providers couple of times without any problem porting my old number to the new service. I recently changed from Vodafone broadband to Vodafone Gigafast. When I took this connectiion, I was told that it will be possible to port my number. ion Its been now over 4 month and I have been caught up with unreliable service from Vodafone and looks like I have lost my number. It was like 565464. I was trying to get some code to transfer this number else where but they misled me and lied to me. This is the last message from them. Any suggestions? Here is the message and please give me a figure if my complaint is not resolved.

  7. Thank you for your reply. I am agree with you. With this type of behaviour, yes I will go ahead with it. Do you recommend if I just go through an agency and pay 25% cost to them and let them do all the work?
  8. Hello everyone, On Tuesday 16th I had flight from Lviv to Luton and it was delayed 12 hours due to a crack on one of the tyre. They had to get other tyre from Kiev which arrived after 6 hours and then another 6 hours to repair. It seems like technical fault but today I sent them claim through their website and it is refused. They said: Thank you for contacting Wizz Air Customer Service Department. We are sorry to hear about this unfortunate situation, and after thoroughly investigating your case we confirm that flight LWO-LTN on the 16th of July 2019 was delayed due to unexpected circumstances, which were beyond our control.This, as per the European Regulations 261/2004 falls into the category of Extraordinary Circumstances, therefore, we regret to inform you that no compensation is due.“(14) As under the Montreal Convention, obligations on operating air carriers should be limited or excluded in cases where an event has been caused by extraordinary circumstances which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken. Such circumstances may, in particular, occur in cases of political instability, meteorological conditions incompatible with the operation of the flight concerned, security risks, unexpected flight safety shortcomings and strikes that affect the operation of an operating air carrier.”as per the European Regulations 261/2004:“An operating air carrier shall not be obliged to pay compensation in accordance with Article 7, if it can prove that the cancellation is caused by extraordinary circumstances which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken."   12. Hello everyone, Yesterday I parked my car near the Camden Underground and paid two hours parking through my mobile. I was planning of taking underground for a short trip which normally takes one hour but due to Camden Town underground station was shut and the roads around the Camden station were shut, I ended up 30 minutes late back to my car and got a penalty charge note. I never had any parking fine in the UK for many years and I always pay for my parking. I was unable to extend my parking time due to the restriction of maximum two hours of parking at once. I do not live in London and came from Milton Keynes. I was unaware of these major closures. Do you think I could appeal due to special circumstances like delays due to public transport delays etc? Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you

  14. Hello guys, Latest update. Today I have received a letter from Rossendales Collect telling me that Euro parking collection has passed them the amount which comes to now £144.33. Any help or suggestions. They have dated 20th Oct and they want the money by 27th. Please help. I simply can not afford this type of amount. UI was in Budapest last week in the same vehicle.   15. Hello again, Just to give you an update. Today I have received a letter from an international debt collection called Contractum which is based in London. They are asking me to pay £103.53. They are also saying that I have ignored minimum 2 notifications through Euro parking collection. The amount they said would be paid within 28 days with different options. The letter is dated 7th of May but I have received it today. Any suggestions?
  16. Hi guys, Just to update you that I did not reply to them and they did sent me a second letter with £30 extra added into the charge and it is now £102.88. Another thing mention is "Failure to pay the charge may result in the issuing Organisation registering the outstanding balance as a debt and the case will be passed onto a Debt Collector" The payment due date has already gone past 8th of April. Waiting for the third letter. I seen the pictures and mostly it is all reflecting glass and in one side window a parking paid ticket upside down making it impossible to read. I don't think I still have that old ticket. Do you think I will aspect Debt Collector? If so then what should I do in my defence?
  17. Thank you for the information. I did some research and mostly people are just ignoring them. I also found out that they are actually operating for some councils and Dartford tunnel chasing EU vehicles for fine recoveries. I am going to ignore them. I will keep you update if anything happen.
  18. Hello everyone, Yesterday I received a Penalty charge note for a parking offence in Budapest in month of August 2016. It is about 6 month ago. The company which is representing the charge is called Euro Parking Collection Plc or epcplc.com I do remember visiting Budapest and staying for few days but I did always paid for my parking but unfortunately I do not have the parking pay and display proof after 6 months of time. They also send me a link for viewing pictures of my caddy parked in the street and had a penalty charge note placed under my wiper which I never found it. My question is if they are are any legal to present parking ticket 6 month old from a different state of Europe. The pictures they sent me does not show anywhere if I had parked there illegally. In one of the picture does show a parking pay and display ticked but up side down or printed side was turned by an accident. As I mentioned that I did went to Budapest but I paid parking where it was required and I also paid the motorway vignette. Shall I pay them, ignore them or file an appeal mentioning the pictures does not show if I was parked illegally. Please help as I really do not want to pay for something I believe is wrong. I have also noticed that the pictures are not on their website anymore.
  19. Hi thank you for your reply. Yes I am on Zero hours contract. My main aim is to get my job back but it now it would be really difficult to work in such difficult circumstances. I have worked over five years with them and getting sacked is the least option for me. At least I don't want to have negative reference for my future saying that I have not done anything wrong. I will not hesitate to open an Employment Tribunal case for unfair dismissal. I have sent out an email to HR manager asking assistance and filing grievance. I will keep you informed with my progress.   20. Hello everyone, I have been working for a big Pizza home delivery company from last 5 years. Last year my manager started giving me less and less hours, despite knowing that this was my main and only job. The situation continued for a few months and I was forced to get another part time job as self employed. In my self employed job I was given generous hours in certain shifts but I decided to keep my first job at the same time have enough hours. Since August I have not been offered any hours at all and at end of September I received a letter saying that I had not attended a meeting with manager and that I was therefore sacked and have right of appeal. (I had never received any notification from my employers asking me to come for the meeting) I appealed and in two weeks the area manager chaired the appeal hearing. He explained that because I had not worked for some months and they have a automated system, that a letter is issued automatically and had been sent to my address. I explained my position and I was promised that I would get at least 30 hours a week in future. I contacted my store manager and informed him of my availability and the hours I can work. I was told that they would answer back soon. I also told my manager that I would be away for three weeks to visit my parents abroad and would return on the 25th. Yesterday I came back and I found a letter saying that they could not guarantee hours because my contract says that I will be given hours according to the business needs. I called the manager and he started asking me question when I received the letter and did not reply to my answer about getting hours. I have a feeling that they will sack me again and will skip all the disciplinary process. I called head office and asked the HR that I want to file grievance against my manager and area manager. They asked me to send details in writing and they will take action. I have been working there for 5 years now and never ever gone through any disciplinary. Have always been punctual and hard working during my shift. They are still hiring people for the same position I had, but they are not giving me any hours (they have window posters for hiring staff) They also have some staff members getting over 60 hours a week. Also in five years I have never been trained for health and safety at work, food hygiene, or fire and safety at work. In the past 5 years I was never paid my full entitlement of holidays. They do not pay us from September till end December (not allowed to take holidays) and the holiday year finishes en December means we cannot claim holiday pay. They will have all this on record. I need some advice from someone on how to proceed. Can I ask them to provide me all the information they hold of me through freedom of information or data protection law? Or I just send them a letter asking for a meeting? I personally think they are picking on me and I have not done anything wrong. I have also worked in same field for more that 25 years in UK and abroad and do not understand why they are treating me this way. I feel frustrated that instead of benefiting from my past experience, they just want to get rid of me for no reason.
  21. No I did not used the pin. I was bit surprise about it as well but thought may be they have changed their policy. I did called the police today and I was given number for fraud department. I will call them first thing in the morning. This whole thing need to be investigated. I just want to know what exactly happened. They should have cctv footage me giving the cash unless they run the video in reverse mode. I also called my bank about the charges and they said that I have to pay them and investigation is over. It is really wrong. I am very upset about it. Thing is if the receipt said withdraw they will take it as withdraw. Only CCTV can tell what had actually happened.

  23. Hello everyone, About two weeks ago I went to my local post office and deposited £40 into my cooperative bank account. Here I was so confident and comfortable and trustful dealing with post office. I gave two £20 pounds note £40 in total to deposit into my coop bank account. I inserted my card into reading machine and then I was asked to enter my pin code. And here we go. All done. I took my card out of the reader and said thanks and was going to turn around but she said, do you want the receipt for this transaction? I used this service before and normally I do not ask for receipt as I trust Post Office due to its reputation and trust among people. But this time somehow I said OK. I took the receipt and went back home. Next morning I was checking my account but I noticed £80 less in my account and found that the deposit I made was shown Withdraw instead of deposit. I checked the receipt and it shows cash withdraw of £40. I got really shocked and went back to the post office. There is only one person works in this post office. So I asked her what happened to my transaction and showed her the receipt she gave me. She asked me if I entered my pin in the card reader? I said yes I did? She said well her till was fine with no difference. I should talk to Post Office or to my bank. Now its been two weeks I have notified Post office. I was transferred to a person who works between Post office and Cooperative bank. She said that they will investigate the matter. Today after me sending them few reminders I got the answer from them saying that they cannot do anything as post office staff said that her till and paperwork was fine. They advice me to go back to that Post Office and talk to them again. i went and she said the same thing that her paperwork was fine. She never said that I did not gave her the money. She is saying that her paper work is fine with square till. In this whole process I have lost £80 which i was hopping to pay some bill but ended up losing £80 plus bank charges around £50 from my bank. Can please someone advice me what to do next? I am not blaming anybody but something did went wrong but I am the victim here and why should I pay for something which I shouldn't pay? I heard from my sources (locals) that same thing happened before and the same staff member was involved. In the end the bank ended up paying for that victim. Right in front of the post office there is a old people home. I have some terrible feelings but maybe I am taking it too serious. Please please advice. I work hard to earn this money and I want to spend it on something useful for me. Where the money went? Where should I go next? Police? Financial Ombudsman? Thanks
