  1. Thanks again for your advice. I will try to move forward with this. Regards, Tonvin
  2. Thanks again for your reply and I need to apologise for any confusion that I might have caused. I have recieved four documents from Northampton CC. The first of these explains why a judgement has been made in favour of Lowell. Lowell have then added another £1000, in interest over the past four years, to the balance of what I still owe. I would like to know how to proceed, and perhaps someone else has been in a similiar situation to myself. As you have suggested, maybe I should have used a different title to my thread, such as 'Northampton CCJ from Lowell' Regards, Tonvin
  3. Thanks again. I believe that Lowell took the debt from my, then, credit card provider. I am not sure what CCA is and I'll find out. As I have mentioned, is this tactic from Lowell just a means of adding to my debt since I was making payments when I could. Also, should I return any of the forms from the county court or should I contest the interest charges, or should I jsut continue making repayments that are affordable to me?
  4. Thank you for your interest. I have received letters from Lowell notifying me of possible legal proceedings if I didi not contact them to discuss a repayment plan. However, I continued to make payments when I had the means to do so.
  5. I would apppreciate any advice concerning my issue with Lowell/Hamptons I owe money from a credit card and have been making payments to Lowell. These payments have not always been regular due to my on and off employment situation. Nonetheless they were being acknowledged and accepted by Lowell. I was therefore surprised to receive a CCJ in their favour. Furthermore, they have added almost £1000 in interest charges to my outstanding amount. Is this normal practice or just a method of making money from me? I have not responded to the CCJ documentation that I have received, although I have made another payment since receiving it. Could anyone please adviise me as to how to proceed? Thank you, Tonvin
  6. Yes, the latest letter from the council is a Charge Certificate. What does this mean. Thanks again
  7. I received a PCN for allegedly stopping in a box junction, just over a year ago. I immediately made an appeal and never heard back from the council. To my surprise I was recently sent a reminder claiming that they had not heard from me, furthernore the fine has been increased by 50%. Unfortunately for me I cannot find a copy of my letter. Any advice would be gratefully welcomed.
