The attitude of the staff who work at the company is dependant on the store. Don't brandish that stick at ALL staff.

The DLC HAS to be taken if you DO NOT have Home Contents Insurance. Its brighthouse taking out their OWN insurancepolicy as they don'twant you coming back saying "Sorry my house caught fire, you can't have your item back."
Anyway I am sorry you have had a bad experience, however these forums are also misleading.
Allyou will ever read here is people complaining about BH. You will never hear from the thousands of happy customers because well theres nothing to complain about.
Its easier to whine than it is to praise. Its apity my other thread got denied it explains alot about todays society and their ready willingness to blame anyone but themselves for their lack of selfcontrol w/regards to contracts.
If you were in ANY doubts about joining BH you should have just said "I'll think about it" and then leave.
Worked it out yourself then decided. You only sign the contract out of four things.
