  1. Hi Teg1203 Who underwrote the PPI policy as FP would have arrange the loan, this should be with the paperwork you would have received from FP, normally any complaint to FP would then be forwarded by them to the company who dealt with your PPI policy, have a look at my thread today as Central Trust did mine and I requested from them all telephone conversations, they were quick and helpful to supply and did not cost me a penny. PPI reclaim from Central Trust/Debt buster loans Regards gooner15
  2. Good afternoon to all I need some advice on how I should approach the next step, I will not mention any figures in respect of the loan but the PPI is more than £15,000. Debt Buster loans arranged a loan which included a PPI policy for me back in 2006 for which was underwritten by Central Trust on behalf of FirstPlus, I lodged my complaint to FP who forwarded this to Central Trust, on the grounds for mis-selling were that I never needed the policy and was never given the option to buy a cheaper policy elsewhere, the reply came back saying they have investigated my complaint and cannot see any mis-selling by their sales person and therefore rejected after they reviewed the tapes and paperwork. I have now listened to the telephone conversations and clearly on the first conversation a loan was agreed with no PPI as I answered the normal questions that I have life cover, redundancy and sickness cover and therefore no thanks to the expensive PPI, I then received another call from them saying because I have a small secured loan on my property I must consolidate both the secured and new loan for it to be accepted, throughout the 2nd telephone conversation the sales rep from Debt Buster loans kept saying that his insurance was the best deal available as you get the full money back after 5 years (must of said it at least 10 times)even though I made it clear I had the cover from the previous telephone conversation, he also said if I redeem the loan early I would get back all unused insurance (not true) as I paid the loan off after a year and got back a tiny fraction, also from conversation he never repeated the PPI questions that were covered in the first call where I had the cover in place already, because a bigger loan was now going to be secured on my property I believed this was compulsary that PPI had to be taken because he kept pushing it in a way that I said a reluctant OK. at no time was it mentioned I could look around for cheaper insurance. Any help on what to do next would be appreciated. Thanks Gooner 15

  5. Hi everyone on the forum Need some help in respect of a credit card debt I have with RBS and a DCI company called Triton is chasing me for money, some months back I was having serious problems raising the payment on a credit card, I went to a debt advisory company asking for help and they set a monthly payment plan for RBS and some other creditors but meeting this was hard and I missed 1 payment and now the debt has been passed to Triton, I received a letter from them Friday stating Notice of Legal proceedings and that they will recommend RBS to get their solicitors to commence court proceedings against me which include the following: County court Baliffs to take away possessions A charge placed against my property until the debt is paid My employer deucts money from my wages That I attend court to submit under oath my personal financial affairs I have written to Triton and RBS as I dont wish to talk to them on the phone which they have ignored as I want a copy of the credit agreement and suggested a lower payment taking into account my financial situation (dire). Please can somebody give me some advice on what I do next? Thanks Gooner15
  6. Many thanks for your replies Pinky69, it's most appreciated.
  7. Thanks again, just that I am 100% clear, they have no legal right if the account is in dispute? Gooner15
  8. Many thanks, found the letter from another thread, all typed and ready to go, not sure what the reaction will be? Gooner15
  9. Hi everyone Help needed urgently I have been hounded by a company called APEX (Debt collection agency)who are acting on behalf of Lloyds TSB. A bank account I had with Lloyds was about £700 overdrawn (mainly charges) and this company APEX is now chasing me for £1800 which is more charges that Lloyds have added on as I got fed up with the amounts of money they charge for being over your limit or bouncing DD's so I changed to another bank, I have sent the letters to reclaim back all my charges but this APEX don't care about the account is in dispute even though I did mention this to them, they want a holding fee from me and a plan on how to repay the money, do I comply with them? Thanks for any advice. Gooner15
  10. Thanks Green and Mean, I have emailed the Council to confirm if the filming application was required for the full 24 hour duration and to clarify what time the suspension ended on the 22/11, looks like I will have to pay or hope the Council have a heart, what I have now been told is that all the bays were coned off on the 15th and removed on 16th. Thanks Gooner15
  11. Thanks Crem That is a good point, maybe somebody in the forum may know if there is a set time period or can a company be aloud to pay the Council (City of London) 24 hours per day parking during the period upto 22/11, the sign had no times to or from? Gooner15
  12. Hi, I received a parking ticket on my car this morning issued by a Enforcement officer in a street I have used many times over the last year, I have been working nights and restrictions finish in this area at 18:30 until 08:30, so I parked there at 18:40 in the belief that all was ok, at 01:32am I received the ticket stating that I was in a suspended bay so pay up £120 or pay within 14 days and the cost will only be £60, having looked at the post which was not near to where I was parked was a very small sign saying that the bays have been suspended for a film crew 15/11 - 22/11 (not seen them all week especially at 1:30 in the morning), do I have any grounds to appeal against this fine, taking into account I parked up when it was dark and the signs were too small and not clearly visable and should the bays have been cordoned off to prevent parking, I was not the only car parked up as others got tickets as well? Thanks Gooner15
  13. Dear new friend Many thanks for the reply, only new to this site which I found by chance when looking for legal advice, did any of your claims get to court?, I don't believe it's too late for me to go alone as all they have done is the first stage and I don't believe they will go further if my insurance don't cover such claims but 2 of the amounts are £5000 plus and could get messy if I go it alone? Thanks Gooner15
  14. Good evening Currently using a solicitor to reclaim 3 PPI payments for which one has been rejected (good old GE) as it looks like we are going to court, the solicitor needs to know if I have legal protection on my insurance policy to cover the cost, is this right as I was under the belief firms pay the cost on a no win no fee basis? Thanks Gooner15:-|
