  1. Thanks for your speedy reply. It is the only loan i have had with them. I will send the letter today by recorded del and see what happens. The letter will state that i am unhappy with my PPI and wish for it to be cancelled and also ask for a new balance and a settlement figure as a family member is willing to help to pay off the debt and i can pay him back as long as the amount is reasonable from Welcome. The loan was £2000 and now showing £3835. They have also charged me 3 times for £10 for outgoing phone calls
  2. I would like any comments/feedback/help /advice on dealing with Welcome Finance. I have a loan with them which was for £2000 and was unsecured, i was told i had to take PPI and was sent a pre-printed form that already had all the boxes ticked. Firstly is this a case to complaim/compensation? Also i missed the first few payments and went to payplan for help with a couple of debts and getting help but not with welcome as they are refusing to freeze interest so every month i pay them £115 and they put £145 interest on so the loan every month is going up and not down. the payment should be £180.66. I have sent a letter requesting PPI be cancelled due to advice from OFT and finanical obudsmen service as well as a settlement figure. Any advice please????
  3. Well i already have 6 points so you would have thought i have learned my lesson by now!! Spoke with another police officer yesterday and he wrote "Speaking as 1 who knows..I think..any mistake on the ticket will probably make it not enforceable....if they can make a mistake like that, what other mistakes could they have made? Contact the enforcing office, point out error, c what they say, may cancel ticket...let me know ASAP wot they say I will then do more diggin.."
  4. I do really appreciate every comment. I have searched and cant find anything that defends my position. Im just holding on to the hope that i dont get the points but dont want to further incriminate myself. Ill have another chat with my police friend and see if he can give me an example of it working, either way ill post the result
  5. So your all saying i should just accept it? I would trust your replys but its hard when i seem to have support from police officers saying the opposite of you both? When going to the police station to hand in my counterpart driving licence she noticed the date wrong and told me to contest it??? why would they do that?
  6. do you work for the consumer action group? If a police officer who works as a traffic cop tells me in his experience i will get off i will obviously trust him as its his job. Also the woman at the police station agrees. Those sorts of odds dont come along very often
  7. If they send a summons regarding an offence commited on the 24th March i can produce evidence that i was not their during the time of the alledged offence then there is no case. By the way what experience do you have in this matter?
  8. Thanks but at the police station they told me to contest it and also i have a friend who is a traffic cop said i have a right to contest. I need help now with the exact process and any possible letter templates
  9. Hi can someone please help me. I was stopped by a police officer for allegedly speeding, he handed me fixed penalty notice that i did not sign. the date of the alledged speeding fine was 24th apr 09 but the policer put down 24 march 09. does the "slip rule" apply here as this brings to question the officers ability to do his job and at the time of the alledged offence on the ticket i was sitting in my office working 200 miles away. Please help
