  1. I paid the fee and saw the CCJ was registered. We are worried about bailiffs arriving at our door because there is a CCJ against her that has not been adhered too. IE the court has ordered she makes payments, and none have ever been paid. We paid the fee to see if the CCJ is genuine and it is. My wife is worried that Lowells could now send bailiffs if she fails to make payments as per the CCJ terms from the court, is this correct?
  2. Update. My wife has tried to call Lowells for the last few days but their lines are constantly engaged. I'm assuming they have too few phone lines or have sent out a ton of letters similar to my wife's.
  3. Sorry, I meant to say Lowell Solictors. Are we in any position to ask them for evidence of the debt?
  4. Are we in a position to ask Shop Direct if they could supply evidence of the debt or does the CCJ mean they can simply ignore requests?
  5. Well yes,if the money is actually owed. As I wrote above my wife has no recollection of a debt to shop direct. If possible I would like some evidence.
  6. Ok, there is a CCJ which was registered to her previous address on 17/09/2014. I have checked her current address and there is no CCJ in her name What should I/she do next?
  7. Hi Andy thankyou for your reply The letter from Lowell's is to our current address, but at the date when the alledged CCJ was entered we resided at a different address. We moved just before or just after the CCJ date. Should I use our previous address to search or our current one(where Lowells letter came to)?
  8. Hello all Today (18/4/2016) my wife received a letter from Lowell Solitors reminding her of a CCJ. Letter states as follows. As you will now be aware, on the 17/09/2014 a CCJ was entered against you. The court has ordered you repay this debt as follows. Installment amount £50 Monthy First payment due 17/10/2014 Amount owed £299.49 The letter goes on to say 'we haven't heard from you' and urge repayment to avoid possible enforcement action. Ive spoken to my wife (of rather attempted too. She is very poorley with a number of conditions and has been for years now) And she has very little recollection of the claimant who is Shop Direct. Ive been opening her post for her for a while as she doesnt have the mental capacity to deal with stuff most days. Im wondering what my first step should be.
