I am so sorry to hear you are in this situation. This company made me very ill at the time and they weren't even the company I took the agreement out with it was Open Finance. Ask them for a copy of your agreement they should have it and ensure they have your signed documents. Land of Leather did mis sell me payment protection and thanks to the Financial Ombusman and the FSA they have since told me it was a mistake on their part and I no longer owe them any money. If they are saying your payment did not arrive on time (which has been a common reason on most forums) ask for a copy of the cheque you sent your bank can provide this. Creation told me my cheque arrived late and that they know this because they stamp cheques on receipt with the date. When i received a copy of the cheque from my bank there was no date stamp on it. They purposely held back my cheque banked after the due date and only once it had been cashed did they decide to inform me that I owe them money still. As you will read from my previous thread a certain County Court had received 500 complaints a day regarding this company. You could even contact Watch Dog or Money Expert. Good Luck.

Could you please let me know the county court you are referring to. I am presently being ripped off by creation finance who were known as open + Direct when I took out the 1yrs interest free credit who were FSA registered No. 311518. Creation Finance have told me they are not FSA registered but i signed agreement forms on the understanding they were and this was written in black and white. I was also missold a PPI by Land of Leather. Basically I purchased a suite for approx £2000 interest free for 1 year. Payment date was 16th March 2007 I posted a cheque on 14th they did receive it on 16th but said they received it on the 20th March which was a Tuesday after their Bank Holiday Monday and they didn't bank it on the Friday when they received it therefore making me enter into the 3 year monthly payment scheme adding all the interest which will total approx £5000+ which includes a PPI. I have written and seen land of leather manager who spoke on my behalf I was then told back in March 2007 by land of leather don't worry I'm sure we will sort this out. I heard no more until Friday 27th June 2008 saying you in arrears of your monthly payment and charged me £25 for the letter. I was distraught they are still wa\nting me to pay all the monies back even after cashing my cheques for £2027 which i sent as FULL & FINAL SETTLEMENT of this account. They are rude and threatning I am at my wits end what to do... any help will be gratefully received. Also in May this year Land of Leather were fined £210,000 by the FSA for mis selling PPI's.
