  1. Thanks Ida Trust LoyDsrTsb to get it right!! CCA request in progress! Any thoughts on my previous question? - the amount on the DN is different to the amount on a previously received (about 6 weeks) 'arrearS notice' letter? (the arrears amount on the DN is the same as the 'pay us' amount on the DN). Also, if i were to offer a full and final settlement, what sort of percentage should I offer? Thanks.
  2. Saw this today on MoneySavingExpert - BarclayCard has a pre application check which leaves a 'soft' footprint rather than a 'hard' footprint of an actual application. So If OK, here's the the link. Barclaycard pre-application check to prevent credit woe - MoneySavingExpert News
  3. As above. Have the envelope. DN looks non defective to me, what do you think? Thing is though, they have said that any action on the account was on 'hold'. If they're true to their word, does this mean that they won't be pursuing it, for the moment? thanks.
  4. Does this work? any thoughts? http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/8291/img007oa.jpg http://img89.imageshack.us/img89/7109/img008n.jpg
  5. DN posted up. any thoughts anyone?
  6. thanks. would this then have an adverse effect re credit rating? Also, a bit off topic, but what effect does going on a 'repayment plan' re a cr cd have re credit rating etc?
  7. Thanks for replies Elsa & cerberusaalert. No cca request yet, but will do. should this be along the lines of the CPR rather than s78? http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/legal-issues/173201-why-you-shouldnt-use.html Cr Cd is pre 2007, about 7 yrs. but i note this!http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/legal-issues/198059-unenforceability-cases-hold-until.html Yes, i have the envelope. Have already sent a letter though (without 'account Dispute' heading), to put on the record what they told me. Is this relevant? - the amount on the DN is different to the amount on a previously received (about 6 weeks) 'arrearS notice' letter? thanks.
  8. Hi Can anyone help on this? thanks.
  9. The DN dates are 21 aug dated, 8 sep deadline. Will try and post it up later. Should I write a letter as above, or do anything else with the DN? Will the DN proceed even though account is on hold? thanks
  10. Thanks for reply 42man 'Is the default notice compliant by chance ' It seems just about ok having read this http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/show-post/post-2166205.html but i'll try and paste it up later. Was thinking of writing to them about the agreed arrangement, and request; withdrawal of DN, and confirmation of the plan, and a hold on any action? Should the letter be marked 'account Dispute'? thanks
  11. Am in a similar situation! good luck!
  12. If a full and final offer is accepted, what effect does this have on ones credit file?
  13. Hi Can anyone help with this please? I have received a DN re some arrears on cr cd. BUT, a few weeks ago a further 'hardShip plan' was arranged with the bank on the phone, and I was told that they would be in touch accordingly. I was also told that any action on the account was on 'hold', and to ignore letters re the arrears. the 'agreed' reduced payment was duly paid. they have now told me that i was incorrectly advised and that there is no such plan in place, but that the account is still on 'hold'. Any ideas very appreciated, thanks
  14. the Press Code of Practice is a 'guide' that mrshed enquires about re privacy. the Press Complaints Commission can deal with complaints about newspapers and magazines, and it is stated on their site that the Code 'binds all national and regional newspapers and magazines'.

  17. thanks for reply scott luckily, its not with a DCA (yet!) apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere (am gradually reading thru!); re CCA - what happens overall then when there is no enforceable CCA? re charges - are the £12 fees for late payment/overlimit still reclaimable?
  18. Hi I currently owe about 7500 on my cr cd. I now cant make the min payments (last one was due end of May). I've made a token payment. my account is with their collections. i've spoken to them a couple of times explaining cant afford payment, and asked if they would accept reduced payments and freeze the interest. They've said that their policy had changed and that they wont freeze the interest but can reduce it (to about 6%) on a reduced payment plan up to a year, to be reviewed in 6 months! (i was hoping that they would freeze interest so i any payments I can afford to make would start clearing the debt!) Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks
  19. What were the offers? did you manage to get the interest frozen?
