  1. Thank you for your replies. I do take safety precautions and do not allow any connections to my computer, and I certainly do not reply to any emails about any accounts I hold. I was just after some information to reassure my girlfriend that her money is safe in an online account with B&B.
  2. Thank you all for your replies. You have made us feel more secure about our savings. I think we are going to leave them in bradford and bingley for now. What are your views on online accounts? my girlfriend is worried all her money could be wiped off the computer system and she will have no proof as they do not supply statements. Thanks again
  3. so am I right in understanding this? If I have savings then they are proteced? If I have a current account they are not protected? Does this still apply if the bank goes bankrupt? Thanks for your help.
  4. Hi, I was on the sick, then I was sacked while I was on the sick. That is why I decided to go back to uni.
  5. I am a mature student and before I went back to uni I had a loan. Its now a couple of years old and I have 1 year left. I have payment protection on the loan incase I come out of work or are on the sick. I was finished from work 2 months ago, but had some savings so carried on paying the loan. Now I'm going to uni and want to know do I still have to pay the loan or can I suspend the payments as I have payment protection and I'm no longer working? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  6. Hi, I'm looking for some advice for my savings. Me and my girlfriend have a little bit of savings and we would like to know which is the most financially stable bank around at the moment. We currently have our savings in a bradford and bingley online account, but we know that they have recently had trouble. So this begs the question should we stick with them cause they give us a good interest rate or should we move to a bank that is more stable and not likely to collapse any time soon. Thanks for any help you may be able to give.
  7. Thank you for your help. I will get that sent off this week. When I receive the SAR what information will this tell me?
  8. Hi, 18 months ago I get a loan with welcome finance for £2000. I knew the intrest would be hi and was told I will be paying £168 per month for 2 years. I was ok with this until recently. I changed bank and phoned welcome to change my bank details and asked them how long I have left to pay. They have now told me I still have 18 months left to pay. That means that I will have paid over £6000 in the 3 years for a £2000 loan. I asked them for a statement of my account and this shows that the total including interest at the start was £3297 pound. How is this possible. I have sent a letter asking for a copy of the credit agreement as I cannot find mine. When I get chance I will upload a copy of the statement of my account that they sent me. Any help on the matter would be grealty appreciated.
  9. Hi, nearly 6 years ago, I had a credit card with citibank. Needless to ay, I went over my limit and lost the card. I had no contact from Citi at all. Recently I applied for a copy of my credit report and it said I know owed the money to Hillesden. I sent 2 letters asking for a copy of my credit agreement, one to citi and one to Hillesden. Citi have nver replied to my letter and it has been about 4 months. Hillesden replied saying they are looking for the requested information and will update me in 21 days. I have now had about 3 of these letters and still no information. All I wanted to do was to find out if they owned the debt so I can start paying it off, but no one seems to be able to give me any information. Any help would be greatly apppreciated. Thanks
