  1. I sent them the letter, and have had no written reply as yet. Still no reply Nov 2008
  2. Letter M? They have made some contact in 6 years even if its a letter or phone message every so often. I have not sent any payment in the last 6 years.
  3. Found a letter fom link Jan 2008. Just a standard letter saying the alleged debt belongs to link and not halifax and I should immediately repay them. Past the 5 o'clock cut-off now, they haven't called back yet.
  4. The last payment was made to Halifax. I never paid link anything. They refused my offer and then didn't hear anything from them for years. Then they start phoning again. They said I last admitted this debt in 2001 when I sent all my finacial details. This was a Halifax current account with switch card which went over the agreed overdraft limit, topped up with letter charges for bounced cheques.
  5. I have link keep leaving messages, but today they have stated I must return the call by 5pm. This is from a halifax account I had in 1995 and link bought in 2000. They were made a payment offer in 2001 which they declined and they wanted me to take a loan or sell stuff to pay them. I have told them not to phone and they still do, I won't answer any withheld numbers and never call them back. Are they still entitled to collect this debt after so many years and declining my 2001 offer of payment?
