  1. Hi - Had a letter today from DG Solicitors. They want me to send a breakdown of the amount I am claiming so that they can consider my claim?? Does this sound familiar or what - I will send a brief letter to both DG Solicitors & HSBC signed for. That way they cannot say they haven't got it - but I am sure that I have done this twice already - Incometence or just delaying tactics - you decide? Thanks Sarahxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  2. Good luck Wardy boy. Ihope you hear something soon - (don' t we all ). Fingers and toes crossed!?! you wont need it - they will pay - but be warned they WILL mark againts your credit record - (I Think ) so also ask for a removal of this in you settlement. SarahXXXXXXXXXXXX:razz:
  3. HI - I hope everything goes smoothly for you I had real difficulty dealing with the interest side of things. my total amount was 600.00. but I have just wrote this off. Could not work it out - AT ALL. I have spent about 5 hrs per night reasearching things - and that was a minefield. - GIVE IT A MISS. You will sleep so much better. Anway good luck SarahXXXXXXXXXX:razz:
  4. Hi sue - hope you have a good holiday - good luck with everything. HSBC's bankers are really helpful. If I can help you, I will - only I have struggled slightly to understand - I think I know now what needs to be done though (its always better to be sure isn't it?!) Sarah XXXXXXXXXXX
  5. Well - more bad news - I have followed your steps to the letter - I even rang experian for my credit rating about six weeks ago - everything seemed in order. So I applied for a 0% credit card to clear some debs without interest - (sent last week) and guess what - I have been declined for a card. The only thing I can think is that since I started with this claim the bank has defaulted me for my misgivings- the B******s.. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong - but I recieved an alliance and leicester credit card (also 0%) last week (application sent about 4 weeks ago - I am fuming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sarah XXXXXXXXX:-o :-o
  6. Good Luck and don't get disheartened - I'm sure now we will all get our money back sooner or later! Sarahxxxxxxxxxxxx
  7. Thanks Guys -Hurray at last iv'e done it!!!!!!!!!! I've just been on MCOL now and made my payment - Just a quick question though. The spreadsheet I have produced to work out how much they actually owe me - what happens to this? The only things the courts have are the basic figures with no calcs. Thanks Sarah xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx:p
  8. Fantastic - just done my claim online - came to pay and my card was instantly declined (HSBC CARD)!!! Haven't got any more energy or money - will complete 2morrow Night all Sarah.
  9. Thanks for both bits of info. Thet are going to apply 225.00 on 17th should I also include this it is within 6 yrs as 1st charge was in 2001. Should i hold off claim till then and apply these current charges. Thanks Sarahxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
  10. thanks - Think I will give this a miss - when I entered the figure in it showed that there was no debit interest. - Thanks anyway. Just to clarify - my claim is for 3320.00. plus 8% total 3804.84. court costs 120. 00. the figure I use to work out the 0.0022is 3804.00???. Also at the bottom of the claim there are amount claimed, court fee & total amount. Should this figure be 3804.84 & 120.00? Thank you - for being patient with me - I'm sure you are getting a bit frustrated.
  11. Yes thanks My claim has reduced by 600.00 because I took out the Interest that they had charged (I added the total amount of interest initially.). Can I reclaim aportion of this? Somebody said it was really hard to calculate - do you know an easy way??? Thanks sarah XZXXXX
  12. Thanks - Clear as mud - (She's usually such a bright spark - memory overload!!!). I think i've got it - apart from the very last bit - is this the complete total claim inc 8% plus calculation - or just claim without 8%? thank you SarahXXXXXXX
  13. Thanks so much for your help - but what does this last bit mean - I know about the 8% but what is the bit highlighted in bold?? 8% a year from the date of each charge to xxth May 2006 of £xxxx and also interest at the same rate up to the date of judgement or earlier repayment at a daily rate of £x.xx does this mean that I have to recalculate the amount after my claim has gone in?? Sarah XXXXX
  14. Hi Spicey ! Just wondered as you are so good with words if you could help me on the format for the claim form - I'm doing it online - but am about 500 words over no surprise there. What did you put - it seemed to work. My claim is for around 4 grand lot of money for me. Ive used the template but am not sure what I should take out. Don't have such a way with words as you do. Cheers mate Sarah XXXXXXX
  15. Fantastic spiceskull - you really do put a smile on my face - thanks. Do you really enjoy doing this - you always make me laugh with your antics. I wish I had your Balls - or maybe not!?! but you know what I mean. SarahXXX:D
  16. Thanks for that - I know what I will be doing this weekend (apart from doing double shifts Sat & Sun). Will get onto it ASAP.
  17. Hi Vicki I'm sure youll be fine. Lots of info to read the site covers every angle. It can numb your mind though - I found the best thing to do is read - rest -read. let it sink in . then ask questions about things you havent understood. everybody is very helpful. Good luck amd I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Sarah XXXX
  18. Good on you - I haven't had much interst from the bank really - I hope all goes well - keep us posted. Nice to know somebody is going through the same as me at the same time. Sarah XXX:p
  19. thanks for that - I will deduct the Interest charges, but will now be adding my 8% interest. I received a letter from them in response to my letter before action. They are still maintaining that what they have charged me is right & is in accordance with their T & C's. Nothing from any solicitors yet.?!? If i go on the site to file my claim can this be done early in preparation for Tues AM or does it have to be done on the day you want to file your claim? Any offers of advice - just want it all sorted - I feel like a mother Hen. I think also I will just ask them for the charges to be applied in July to be refunded is this OK? Thanks Sarah
  20. I am really starting to doubt myself & my calculations. when doing my workings out I included all of the charges and all of the interest they had took - moreoften than not I was in an agreed & sometimes had gone over my overdraft limit. I have read a few threads of other peoples and they have done the same sort of thing. also in the Library section about what to claim I read this: "Lay out your calculation - ""don't forget that if the banks have been charging you interest on these charges because you were in overdraft then you should include a figure for this as well." Do the s.69 county courts act interest statement plus calculate that on the lot incouding on their interest that they have deducted from you." Do we claim for all the interest then or not ? I am very doubtful at this moment in time, can someone help me. with a formulae or something. I will be adding my 8% on Tuesday. I got my dates wrong! Again many thanks Sarah
  21. Hi I think I may have done the same thing - How have you worked out the interest. I thought it was the amount that they charged you - Gulp. Thanks Sarah
  22. Everybody seems to be getting money back - I will be filing a court claim against them tomorrow. not really had anything positive from them yet - just your basic standard letters. Is it going to happen - or am I just wasting my time. I am really nervous - I bet they take it all the way Good luck in pusing your charges by the way.
  23. Hiya - good luck with your claim - I don't think (but I am no expert) you need to deduct 10. 00 frpm each charge. I haven't and ive not been corrected by anybody yet - claom for the full amount - thats what I have done - good luck. Sarah
  24. Hiya - just on my daily visit - I am going to file a court claim tomorrow. Really nervous - again (I do have quite a nervous disposition). Before I do this though I just wanted to ask a quick question - I have been issued(today with some more glorious bank charges - these will be coming out on the 19th july - these charges total 225.00 plus interest of 8.21 & 9.26 can I also add these to my claim - and bring the claim start date forward it was originally April when I started this - or should I add these to another claim (not yet started). It seems a bit daft to do the latter as these will be the only costs to claim. Thanks Sarah.
  25. Hiya I am persuing a claim also - All of the letters that you need are in the library section - there is also a step by step guide in the FAQ section. go there and look at the stage you are at - then link this to the Library section - everything is "labelled" so you shouldn't get too stuck. They normally respond to your letters - but is is usually quite negatively. Don't get disheartened - I am about to file a court claim tomorrow & i'm bricking it. Good luck - Sarah
