  1. I've got a lloyds overdraft which I have been paying back at £20 per month for last two years. I've just had a letter saying that the agreement has expired and as I didnt reply to the letter they sent me (which I never received) I am being charged fees. Just called and the fees for one month are over £300 on an overdraft of just £688. It's outrageous. I've agreed another plan to pay £30 a month but this will just be paying fees now... What shouldI do??
  2. Hello, I've attached two letters. One from NatWest after I sent the letter to them requesting a credit agreement, but the response seems quite short? Also the second from Regal which seems like a threat-o-gram as people put it. I sent them in a budget which showed by available money. So I'm planning to send Regal another letter stating that is how much I can afford, is that all I should do for now? Regards, http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn230/spanish_pants/responseRegaltopost.jpg http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn230/spanish_pants/topostnatwestSAR.jpg *Edit* After reading through more posts, is the case that NatWest have failed to provide me with a written agreement? I'm sure when I took out the A/C I would signed something and this is what I was expecting to receive.. not just a couple of figures I already knew...
  3. Yes, I've used letter D i think it was. Stating that what I sent them was the amount I could pay on a pro rata basis. I am just wondering where they have to go from here? Could they take me to court? What would that actually involve? Would I have to attend? Are they likely to do it?
  4. Sorry for double post! I received a response from Regal refusing my offer of £20 a month. I included a budget originally showing that was my surplus per month. What should I do now?
  5. Hello, I received a reply from Regal refusing my offer of £20 on a £1000 debt. I included a budget showing that was my monthly surplus. What shall I do? Simply resend the original letter with budget? James
  6. I've finally received a response as below after offering £20 per month as I was paying to NatWest before. What should I do now? I included an accurate budget which showed that was how much I had available..
  7. Probably does sound right, but I have no idea if charges were added at some point. I don't think so though, because it was an agreed student overdraft, and I don't think I went over the agreed limit. But perhaps its worth it. Do I send this to Natwest or Regal?
  8. Hi thanks for your reply! I don't think any charges were applied on this account but is it worth doing this anyway? So if they don't agree to my £20 a month, shall I just suggest taking me to court? I don't actually live or work in England at the moment, so I'd prefer that not to happen..
  9. Hello. I would appreciate any advice offered on the following situation. I had a student overdraft with the NatWest which was closed around 2 years ago and for which I had been paying back £20 a week for almost 24months. Out of the blue I received a letter from Regal Credit demanding full payment etc etc. I contacted them and stated that the £20 is and remains the amount that I can afford every month (as I have another debt I pay back at 20pounds per month) but they demanded £50 as a minimum. I have since sent them a budget showing my income and outgoings and have offered £20 a month. I told them I cant afford to pay the £1270 outright but offered a lower amount but they stated they would only accept 80% to close the debt. As this is not something I have ever had any experience with (I'm 22 and just finished studying) I wanted to make sure that I am dealing with this correctly? I have spoken to the CCCS and they suggested a DMP but it would involve contacting all my creditors which I don't want to do as I am dealing with them fine and don't want to change my agreement with them. After reading other posts on here, I have sent a letter requesting a copy of the credit agreement, but not sure if this applies as it was an overdraft? Any help/suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thank you!
