  1. I had applied for a loan with Yes Loans. I was told i was accepted over the phone for the amount i required. Weeks went by with no response or letters and i was £59.99 out of pocket. (Application Fee). Gave em a call and apparantly i had failed a Credit Check. Wouldn't it have been easier to do the check first lol. I fought for my Fee Back and was told that it would take 3 months. Still no refund. I am to this day still chasing them and would also like some advice!
  2. On your credit file it states Aliases - Other Names you are known by. My First name is David, But i have used Anthony (my second name) in the past as i have grown up being called Anthony!
  3. Hi CAG! Just a quick question if anyone can shed some light on it. I have recently checked my Credit Report to find that two of my creditors have made two seperate entries on my accounts section. I have satisfied a default with One of the creditors and it is showing satisfied - well for this one credit account i have two entries and one says satisfied while the other for the same amount is saying i have missed x amount of payments. Another Credit account i have which has two entries has not been paid but the amount differs by a £100 between the two entries. Question Time! First of all can a creditor place two entries on your report. This makes me look worse than i actually am - i should have 3 defaults not 5! Is there a way to have the excess defaults removed, i.e by writing to both the CRA and the Creditor. Also i have a problem with aliases. I am known by one other name (My second name) and on my report there are six entries. Four of the entries belong to experian and the other two to one company. Again can they put multiple entries on your file for one other name? Thanks for your replies if any!

  6. I am currently a train conductor/guard for a company in the North. We are the biggest in the north and mainly operate urban services. Stoppers! As milktrayman States: It is a legal requirement to purchase a valid ticket to travel Before YOU BOARD A TRAIN at a station where ticket Facilities are available. Out of hours (when the booking office is closed) it is acceptable to board the train and catch the Guard at the first opportunity. Many people think it is our job to come and get the fare from you. This is not the case. As stated in the Railway bye-laws, you are to approach us. So in effect we could sit on our arses and let you form a que. As a courtesy we dont. As people have said. You can guarantee that 99% of people are either trying to avoid paying, or couldn't be arsed to get it from the ticket office, either turning up late for their train or not wanting to que up. So it makes it hard to judge who is genuine. Up North, we dont operate a penalty fare scheme. Instead if you join the train where ticket facilities are available and are working, you will not be entitled to any railcard discounts or Cheap Day Fares. If you refuse to pay the fare requested, usually the full STANDARD RATE, you will be asked to provide your details, and in some cases an UNPAID FARES NOTICE, could be issued. (Genuine Circumstances). If your details are found to be incorrect and you were avoiding the fare in the first place you would be reported and asked to leave the train. Many people refuse this also and end up being removed by BTP. At this point our own prosecutions department will prosecute, ie for fare evasion, verbal abuse etc and a £2.40 fare ends up in being a £269 fine and a criminal record. We prosecute on a daily basis and i can assure you the outcome is the same. Hope this sheds some light on the situation.
  7. Hi everyone! Before christmas i received various debt collection letters for several debts which i acknowledged were mine. Seems simple. After writing to each company and making payment agreements, i did as promised and have cleared most of the Accounts. Now, I have one outstanding account. One which i think i have been duped with is with the above company. After ignoring many a letter and phone call from them i decided to sort it out and agreed a repayment plan. After a couple of months paying the promised amount i reached a substantial amount which would be easy to pay in one go. I was advised a settlement is available and i was told that 25% would be removed if i paid half now and half next month. Good Deal! After paying the first payment, the time came again to pay the remaining. Until the drone on the other end said that the account had been requested back to the intial creditor. EH HANG ON! They wouldnt accept the final payment. Surprise surprise the creditor was paypal and i was told to contact them. So off i went, trying every number possible for them and after an hour of automatic menus i reached an irish woman. She couldnt find my account. And when i asked how would i pay the remaining balance, she told me i would have to get a bankers draft and post to irelend bla bla bla. No thankyou. I decided to ring RW back and plead with them to accept my payment. at last the gentlemen on the other side said they would accept it and pass it on. UH OH I DONT BELIEVE YOU. So i asked them to confirm the account was settled and confirm payment had been received. This was 18 days ago and i am very concerned. I want to try and write to them and ask for a settled account confirmation but i fear they have robbed me. Does anyone have any ideas in what to put in a letter etc? Do you think they are enjoying a round of drinks at my expense? Thanks for taking the time to read this dull speech.
  8. I have been following a few threads with great interest. Especially the David and Goliath battle - Robinson Way with diskmanDave. I will post my senario later but for now, hi everyone! DA Lodge
