  1. lol! Sorry was excited before! I still think CarCraft is a bit dodgey don't get me wrong but they replaced my broken car with a newer one. Hopefully this one will be ok! x
  2. Contact you Finance company.... They might be more helpful than u think! First of all they don't want a faulty vehicle under there finance coz if you decide to give it back it'll be up to them to fix it! Secondly MAKE SURE YOU PAY THEM! you won't do yourself no favours not paying them! They'll be totally on your side aslong as u stick to your side of the deal! They either cancel the finance or suggest a new car hopefully becuase its within there best interests aswell as yours! Be nice to them explain the situation........ You might be suprised Option 2........ Office of fair trading are helpful they say as they have sold you that vehicle to serve a purpose! and its not doing that! I think its act 1973. You'll have to look it up! Ring OTF and Trading standards also a call to watchdog may help! Obviously worst comes to worst they car fixing the car which is more than most dealers do...... PM me for more info!
  3. Just to bring you up to speed I brought a car from car craft 7 months ago (so this could work before that) and it was a wreck. I spent thousands fixing it only to find out I could have really taken it back and got it fixed there!! Whether I was just lucky or this is there procedure I don't know but its worth a try!! PM me and I'll explain all...........
  4. Regarding the wheels I replaced them with standard mini alloys therefore I would not need to tell any one about the "modified car" Just so you know I beat Car Craft and they have now issued me with a new car! Obviously in 7 months and 10,000 miles the car has devalued but that didn't bother them as they have given me a new car worth £10,000 when originally the car I purchased was only worth £8,299! I'm quite happy with this if I say so myself! Hopefully I'll have better luck with this car or I'll want a £12,000 car!
  5. Just a quick one for you mechanics..... Purchased a car from car craft and when I go round a corner or roundabout etc the wheels lift off the floor... They are not the original wheels that are ment to be on the vehicle as minis come with alloys as standards and these are like 4 spare wheels put on and have some nasty hubcaps on them... So my question is can wheels be to small for a car??
  6. No they fitted a clutch and gearbox and I paid £800. It was ment to be £925 but silly bollox here didn't no u had to add on VAT so I only took £800 so he let me have it for that!! No there was like a really hard rattling noice!! and it was popping out of gear mainly 1st and 3rd!! and in 3rd gear it used to shake the gear stick! clutch must have gone when I brought the car becuase It's always felt a bit funny but I thought it was normal but now I have a new one its LOVELY!!! heaven!!
  7. Has anyone found that some of the night members of staff are so god dam rude!! I had one threaten me if I didnt pay them £485 they would go round to my old house and tell my family! (go for it some random we don't even no lives there and I live on me own now!) Told me to borrow it off a friend or family he didn't care! So I borrowed if off my boyfriend of 1 months grandad! If I didn't pay it within 24hours he would come and get the car! He told me if I didn't pay the debt I would end up in prison becuase it is a criminal offence! All they do is look at your age and laugh at you I swear! Please Please Please let me know if you have had these problems I'm going through court action at the moment and I need to see if I have some kind of case to get there licence revoked!
  8. I have the invoice sitting right next to me as I have sent out copies here there and everywhere! discription of work: to check out vehicle for exciss noise. Faulty gearbox possible link to failed clutch To supply and fit exchange gearbox and clutch assembly parts and labour inc oil £800.00
  9. no when he started talking everything out to either fix or replace the gearbox, he said something about the bearings and the box just falling out and then after that he noticed the clutch was mangled too! 60,000 on the clock all up to date on services and its 5 years old, I ment clutch on my last post 48k and a new clutch!
  10. both clutch and gear box litrally fell out the car! and I didnt mean it like that! have a look I've trid helping people! I haven't gone back and read things from years ago! I've read some upto date ones though and I've put my point forward! other than that I have not seen successful ones recently! Theres no need for the anger Jon hence I was joking "lol" 60k and it had already had a new clutch @ 48k. Guy at garage said the gearbox was faulty and if I had of carriedon driving it the possibilty was it would lock up spin out and kill me or a passer by!
  11. Well i dont read anyone elses problems! I'm not that nosey lol!! to be honest I just want my money back!!!
  12. Update! Just spoke to Trading standards! Thurrock Council are investigating Car Craft! WOOP WOOP! Turns out up to 6 months they have to take responcibilty for any problems!! Spoke to my finiance company! Got a great girl dealing with it! They are writing to carcraft on my behalf to sort them out! I have to collect all evidence that I have tried my hardest to get them to pay up for if it all goes to court! Gotta just wait for replies now! 14 days and counting! Gotta do soooo many letters its unreal!!! Just can't wait for justice! Hoping maybe if this is a door open for me sooo many others can do the same!!!!
  13. I'm going through the same thing my car keeps going wrong and it’s under finance! There quick enough to tell you that its THIER car when you haven’t paid a payment but soon as they have to take some responsibility the tables turns! This is what I would do: You have to give the creditor a chance. What you may find is that the person that has rung you is actually the creditor pretending to be a bailiff. If this is the case this is a criminal offence under the administration of justice act 1970. This MAY NOT be the case though. So I would ring my creditor and ask them what’s going on and that you have received no letters or default notices. Explain that you have tried getting in contact with them about the vehicles faults but you have had no response. Explain that you understand you missed payments but you are now up to date. If this fails write a letter to them stating your conversation and that you will be taking matters further and you would like a written response within 14 days. MAKE SURE YOU SEND IT RECORDED!! In the mean time contact National Debt line, for FREE CONFIDENTIAL and INDEPENDENT ADVICE call 0808 808 4000 see what they say about it. You could also try contacting Financial Ombudsman Service or The Office of Fair Trading: making markets work well for consumers (Office or fair trading). Hopefully if it runs ok this should sort out the bailiffs. Now regarding the faulty vehicle because u hasn’t stated the vehicle age I don't an if it’s under warranty!! But just suppose it isn't...... Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended) businesses are under an obligation to sell and supply goods and services that are as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. That’s basically the law here’s a more complex one Trading Standards Central - Trading Standards and Consumer Protection information for the UK Regarding the vehicle you need to contact trading standards find out if you have a case. Then go from there really! That all I know! That’s all I'm up to! I'm just finishing my letters to the Finance company, Car Craft and My Warranty Company who are all pointing the finger at each other! GOOK LUCK!!
  14. Car Craft set up finance on wrong bank accuont set it up on my identification account not the one I wanted the fund to come out of! Got over £300 of charges from finance company and £500 on bank charges!! Car Craft AGAIN told me warrenty was fully comprehensive (just forgot to say it was only up to £300 and not on wear and tear or a car of age) THIS WILL NOT BE FULLY COMPREHENSIVE THEN!!!! Car Craft put a car up for sale on website when they didnt't stock the car and promise you the one there showing you is the same one even though its a higher price!!
  15. Thank you! I have reported them but I don't have much confidence in them to trace it up! reading all these posts I am suprised that they are still allowed to trade etc etc. When I spoke to the gentlemen who took my complaint I told him that the only reason I rung was becuase of this forum and he said more people should complain even if its just for advise! People think they have no rights but they do! I've got to write to my finace company, car craft to see if I can get my money back and one to my warrenty company becuase they broke the data protection act! I feel like I'm gonna dig a hole for myself but if I dont dig it I'll never no!!
