  1. Thanks fermi think I'm going to have to go that route now they are just taking the you know what:mad:
  2. I have done a Google to see if I can find an address for Abbey's Account opening team. I want to ask them why I was declined for a basic accout? (can't find an address) Thanks
  3. With an ultra basic account just a cashpoint card to me there are no credit facilities at all, I have now been declined for Lloyds and Abbey. I do have adverse history, I have been discharged from bankruptcy for a few years, yet on the FSA info sheets most of the banks say provided you are not an Undischarged bankrupt or history of fraud you should be ok. I read on money forums that after discharge they get an account with Abbey:confused:
  4. I have credit expert at the moment, so is the view that CRA's pass on more details to banks etc we don't know about? Sorry to be a bit dim on this matter. If you do a s.a.r would there be much difference to what I see on my credit report?
  5. Do you think the files still showing unsatisfied makes a difference? So with Bank of Scotland dio you have to take in your discharge papers? Thanks
  6. It's more than 4 years since I went bankrupt, have been discharged more than 3 years. Through advice I decided to clean up files. I wrote to Barclaycard as they had two enteries which were incorrect, incorrect default date and also not marked as satisfied. Well, a few weeks later they did the above all cleaned up, then a while later I received an 'alert' from Experian and Equifax to say there had been a change to my file? Yes Barclaycard, had taken off the satisfied data and is now showing as default and owing, another company Legal Direct (Littlewood's) did the same. Well to be honest they totally removed the data and now it's back on:evil: I am so fed up with them, I have tried to get a new bank account a basic account, I have been declined twice. On my Experian file it shows as 'Discharged' but if these companies still haven't marked my files as satisfied, can this make a lot of difference? I mean I was told apply to Abbey and provided you have been discharged for a least 12 months you should be able to get a basic account! Any advice on these matters most welcome.
  7. My hubby subscribed to CallCredit for their credit reporting service, he has noticed a mistake on the credit file, they ask you to send a message. He as now done this 3 times and still no response. He also wants to cancel his membership but we have searched all over the web site and cannot find a number. It is £12 a quarter and to be honest it isn't a good service:-x Why won't they respond? Does anyone have a contact number, or advice. Thanks
  8. My friend has applied to open a current account with Natwest, one of the questions was had she been bankrupt? When I last banked with Natwest this wasn't asked on opening an account. Say years ago you had been bankrupt but it was now off the credit reference files (you had nice clean files) do you think they would turn you down? Anyone had experience of this.
  9. I thought it would have stayed at the old address as it was registered there. Was surprised when I got the credit file to see in on the new address. There is a chance some creditor's won't be bothered to amend the address details.Good Luck anywayCally
  10. I've just done a post on this group in another thread and I did a search on Companies house and it's coming up as 'Dissolved' the address is a Glasgow address. Cally
  11. Hi Enron, regarding following you when you move? Unfortunately ours did:mad: Our default form almost 5 years ago was at the old address, when we moved it's on the new address now! It will still come off, but these creditor's are a pain. The only thing is the 'Linking' of addresses, it is still stuck there I think! Cally
  12. Hi Godmother- Did they have your correct name? Or with ours the wrong initial? Just had a look on Companies house and it say's they are now dissolved? The address was a Scottish one! Do you think people give them phoney addresses? Cally
  13. We've signed up to Equifax's free trial Credit report, looking at our previous address, there is the following: Credit search ''Outstanding Debt'' made by BCW group Pict/a Buchanan Clark. The Surname is the same as ours but a different initial? As anyone got a clue about this? It worries me, my hubby has only one debt and that is to Metropolitan Collection Services, still with them! Cally
