  1. Hi all been reading the forums and well thought i should ask so here it is about 12 weeks ago the boiler started cutting out, no hot water or heating then would come back and off again etc. i checked the manual and there was an error code (E34) which means the safty cut off for fumes blowback was faulty and cutting in. anyway since then we have had very little or no use, the heating comes on for 3 minutes then the safty cuts in and is off for 30 mins then 3 mins and 30 again so we have heating 6 minutes every hour. Not much, for hot water you have to turn the heating off and turn the water on wait 20 minutes until the safty resets and works for 5 minutes and then cuts off again. Very difficult to have a shower. the landlord was notified and a plumber turned up 9 days later, after 3 excuses ( i went to the wrong door etc). since then we have had a second visit where he said he needed to replace the part and then left so left it 2 weeks ( acceptable time) nothing, rang the landlord who said he hadnt heard anything so assumed it was fixed. Plumber said the same to the LL. he eventully came out a 3rd time after ringing everyday and looked at it again like he did the first time and then left without fixing it. now the landlord cant get hold of him nor myself ( the plumber had promised to ring me back the day after with an appointment for it to be replaced fixed etc). The LL has said when it is fixed that we will sort out some sort of compensation witch is positive, but is there anything i should be doing im calling my LL everyday and the plumberm, and what kind of compesation should i be asking for. the rent is £525 a month. wow sorry that was a bit of an essay 8-)
