  1. Hi Guys, As the company are not governed under the CCA. If the company and the client have settled and finished the contract, can we request they stop processing or opt out of them sharing information with anyone including the credit guy? Also, as they are processing the information under the DPA would still need some kind of information to allow them to do that? Thanks Paul
  2. Thanks Guys I have now pasted into the other forum as requested
  3. Hello, seeker of default help here. Hi Guys, I trust everyone is well. I was hoping for assistance on some a couple of issues regardings defaults and having sucessfully followed the reclaiming bank charges section of this website this seemed the best avenue to follow. Firstly, I feel I must explain that during my youth I was not really think about my credit rating and despite spending quite some time rectifying this senario I have recently discovered that I am still suffering a number defaults on my credit file. I have attached details of each below. Company name:BARCLAYCARDAccount type:Credit Card / Store CardStarted:05/12/2001Default Balance:£881Current Balance:£1Defaulted On:31/12/2004File updated for period to:04/03/2007Status History: (brackets indicate most recent status)[] I have recently contacted barclays and asked them to update the file as the amount was satisfied some time ago but never updated. Currently I have sent them a recorded delivery letter requestig proof of the default issued. I am yet to recieve a responce in connection with this. Company name:T-MOBILEAccount type:CommunicationsStarte d:13/11/2003Default Balance:£228Current Balance:SatisfiedDefaulte d On:10/11/2004File updated for period to:16/09/2007Status History: (brackets indicate most recent status)[] T Mobile have recently written to me to inform me that they are exempt under the CCA 1974 after I sent them a request for the proof of default. I have attempted to read up on how best to pursue this, but bar a few off hand remarks and some info that swoooshed way over my head I am at a bit of a loss, if anyone could offer any further idiot proof advice in this instance I would be forever in there debt......although as you can see I have accumulated enough debt in my time. Company name:THAMES CREDIT/OLYMPIAAccount type:BankStarted:27/03/2002Default Balance:£154Current Balance:SatisfiedDefaulte d On:30/10/2004File updated for period to:25/06/2006Status History: (brackets indicate most recent status)[] Having sent these guys the same letter, they have responded saying that the debt was incurred by an outsatding balace with HFC Bank Ltd and therefore they will pursue this info on my behalf......this strikes me a strange as my credit record has no record of a default being registered by HFC Bank in fact these are all clear 0's. Company name:LOWELL PORTFOLIO I LTDAccount type:Credit Card / Store CardStarted:19/06/2003Default Balance:£348Current Balance:SatisfiedDefaulte d On:10/11/2003File updated for period to:04/03/2007Status History: (brackets indicate most recent status)[] I assume that these guys will return a similair responce as above as they have probably bought the debt. Whilst I realise all of the situations above may vary I would apprciate any help offered in an idiot proof manner that is offered. Thanks in advance
  4. Thanks for the explanation, bit of a newbie/school boy error.
  5. I assume this means I have placed this in th wring place apoligies if so.
  6. Hey all, Having recently identified this site I am currently in the process of trying to remove my default notices I am seeking help with this one tho. I have under the CCA 1974 templates contacted Thames Credit as they have registered a satified default on my account. They have informed me that the debt was originally incured with HFC and therefore the do not have the original agreement. However, my credit record shows that my HFC account is fine and there was not a problem with the payments. What should my next point of call be in my efforts to get this removed????
  7. Hey all, I have recently wrote to T-mobile as a result of finding the default notice on my credit report as below. I wrote to them basically looking to follow the process that I am undertaking with my other default notice's invoving the templates on this site. I have now recieved a letter from T mobile informing me that they are exempt of the CCA 1974. I have tried to follow a couple of threads of a similair vein but I have been left with a spinning head. Is there any action I can take as this is now all been paid for some time and is having a serious impact on my credit score. I appriciate any advice that you guys can offer.
