  1. I could use your help michphil..... .im just off the phone with them for the same issue. I quoted Section 155 of the CCA as I had already read up on the issues incurred and the lady on the phone said they are not governed by that Act as they provide a service and are not a broker so im confused. She agreed to refund me £40 but I told her i will be seeking the rest of it. Help??
  2. Any other words of wisdom or advice peeps? Fuzzy
  3. I wasn't told I could purchase elsewhere. I was self employed at the time. I didn't think the insurances were optional at the time as this wasn't explained to me and never got a figure from them excluding insurances.
  4. Regardless if how the insurance was sold to me it does not state anywhere separately in the agreement about the liability if still paying these once VT'd the car. It just states 1 figure under the termination clause. I was however sold the insurances in their car showroom. the insurance's are for emergency breakdown, mbi platinum and gap insurance. I don't understand why they just can't be cancelled or whatever!
  5. Can anyone help? Give any advice? According to my figures I am due them about £50 until the settlement figure is reached. Im reluctant to maintain my £300 monthly payment to them as I wont get this money back.........advice on this also?
  6. I'll try and make this short and sweet guys. I VT'd my car with Welcome finance after reaching £xxx as per the amound stated in T&C's Welcome confirmed VT and attached bill for almost £3k I complained to WF and they say the remaining liability is for the insurances I took out with the car I complained back saying that is doesnt say anywhere in the T&C's I signed about paying back the insurances. Where do I stand guys? I dont want to hand my car back and still paying the £3k to them. Anyone had expereience of this? Im thinking about going to my local CAB - do you think this will help? Cheers, Fuzzy
  7. Hi, my story is that a couple of months ago I had a couple of standing orders set up and when the payments were due there was not enough money in my account so Lloyds kindly wrote me a letter saying that they were charging me 'x' amount. The charges came and went and I paid them.....but obviously forgetting that i hadnt changed the date of me standing orders the same thing happened next month and again I was going to be charged but by this stage I really didnt have the money to pay the charges. and please note I dont have an overdraft. so cutting a long story short, because of these unpaid charges that accrued a couple of months ago lloyds tsb are now chasing me for £620.00 in charges and are now reporting arrears on my credit file. what bothers me the most is obviously the reporting of the arrears......i dont understand this as i dont have 'credit' with the bank. i am prepared (and have now) to set up a payment plan with them to pay these charges but i dont think its fair that 1. i have been charged excessively and 2. the reporting on my credit file. Is there anything I can do?
  8. Finally got a letter back today from Clarity to confirm what they had already said before i.e. terms and conditions online and that they will now revert back to the client on what to do next. Buttttttt then I also got a letter from 'Commercial Credit Services' this morning as well saying that they are now commencing legal proceedings for the same account. What do I do now? Start over the same process with CCS? Regards, Fuzzylittlethings
  9. Quicly read through this letter.......they did send a letter back with the 12 + 2 day timescales.....they just dont have the agreement. Do I edit the letter or just send it as is?
  10. Can anyone help on this?? Got another letter today saying they are now taking further action. Fuzzy x
  11. Got a letter eventually from Clarity confirming that their Client 'ICS Learn' do not hold a copy of my agreement however the terms and conditions can be viewed online? Whats my next step on this one?
  12. Yeah I think there was some sort of agreement, dont think I have a copy now though?
  13. Hi, my situation is that I enrolled onto a course last year with ICS Learn Ltd and 6 months into the course I decided to take on a different career path which meant I did not have to complete the course I enrolled for. I sent ICS Learn a few emails but got no replies. I then cancelled my direct debit with them and a few weeks later I got a DCA (Clarity) chasing me for the remaining balance. I have since sent ICS Learn a further couple of emails but they are just plain ignoring me. What is my next course of action to do? I also did not submit of any of the coursework provided / required as part of the course so I am angry they are chasing me for the remainder of the course balance really. Regards, Fuzzylittlethings
