  1. hi yeah otelo is who i dealt with i got ofcom in my head from another complaint haha!
  2. Hi i had a dispute with BT, i wrote several letters to them, and they only replied to one (the first one after Ofcom got involved) i think it was the lack of response that gave me such a high compensation. So don't be surprised if they don't reply, and if they don't.....will defo help your case with Ofcom Also i think they say they dont have copies of individual calls as they conveniently couldnt find record of a call i made where i was given an offer reducing my connection fee...
  3. hey i am currently having a row with Europcar via a booking agent... i once booked flights through a booking agent, had a problem and said to myself, never again, always use the company direct, by 2 years later i seem to have forgotten that fact and i am in the same situation again anyhow..... I would suggest addressing all letters to both companies and copying one in when the other replies, if you can get email addresses this will be particularly easy, but if you have to complain in writing then it will be a pain and cost ya a bit more, but thats what i have done previously when companies have tried to shift the blame between themselves. Failing that i would reply to europcar stating that a) the second contract was with them and b) that its europcar which have the cr*ppy staff who have been rude about your wife and kept you waiting etc etc Good Luck with your battle
  4. I would like to add to this I rented through Holiday Autos from Alamo, which is part of the Europcar/National brand (they are all the same company so why bother with different names!!!!) I was told i would be charged £45 and a £35 one way fee....guess what.... i got charged £45 and £96.80 slight different hay! 2-3 weeks after i complained they come back saying as the car was returned 39 minutes late so they have charged me a full days rental!! WTF!! Funny how the guy we returned the car too didnt tell us that at the time!! W****Rs! If anybody has any idea how to take on these vehicle rental theives drop me a line as I have just submitted another email demanding my money, but i dont really have anything to threaten them with apart from telling my friends they suck
  5. They have rejected his appeal, and as i wasn't involved with it from the start, so he missed his opportunity to appeal to the PaTAS. But hey i don't answer the door anyway, so i guess i won't have to change my habits lol Thanks for your advice anyways
  6. Ok, the car will not be parked nearby then (although the amount we spend on repairs it might do us a favour to take it haha) I have the latest letter from them and it says "If full payment of £150.00 is not received within 14 days of the date of this letter, the charge will be registered as a debt in the County Court incurring a further fee of £5.00. You will then be sent an Order for Recovery of the charge and will have the oppurtunity to make a witness statement on one of the four grounds shown below..." With regards to the bailffs, i have receipts for practially everything, and i think the only thing that might cause a problem is my dvd taste (i am not a rom com kinda girl) but i dont intend on leaving any windows and will leave my curtains drawn so they can't take that stuff. But if they go in my garden and levy my trampoline, i am sure i can argue the toss that it's mine and a 30 year old man is unlikely to own it...i hope!
  7. Well everything in the house is mine, so they are not taking my goods, and i know they can't, also i am not letting them in my house or leaving any windows open, so they can bog off. The only reason we are saying take him to court, is because they threatened it in their letter. And i can prove that i paid for the repairs on the car and therefore took ownership of it, doing my own Baliff moves on him. Surely they can't take the car off me?
  8. "Man Of Straw" lol Well the car needed approx £500 repairs last year, so i paid for the repairs and the car is now mine, i technically bought it off him. It won't go on his credit file though, so there isn't actually going to be anything to worry about, is there?
  9. We don't have it anymore. He has been dealing with it for a while, and is a bit of a moron, so he has lost it, all i have is their latest letter asking for money, and now he has had enough he has asked me to deal with it.
  10. P.S i am also thinking of sending them £2 and telling them it covers the losses of where he was parked Anybody agree?
  11. hey just wondering do they usually take people to court? My boyf is refusing to pay one and i am just writing them a letter telling them to take him to court. He doesnt own anything so bailiffs wont get very far, and also he is l/t sick so isnt working and so doesnt have money for this stupid fine. I know with CCJ's if they cant get you from your earnings or property they go for bankruptcy, but i highly doubt they will make him bankrupt over a parking fine. Also i have changed the car over to being in my name and registered at my dads address so if they go after that they have no legal claim as i am the owner right? What do you guys think will happen?
  12. Well good luck with them mate, and good luck with the Law GCSE, i did it at A level, the first year was ok, they second was not so good
  13. Hey no worries, i would study the specification and what you need to do and the exams just to make sure you can go it alone, but yeah dont take no sh*t from them, they sent me a letter to say bring out the court (i kept saying i was going to take them to court) but then a few weeks later the refunded the whole thing. So good luck PM me if you need any help/advice, and lemme know how you get on

  15. Ahh crap, see i paid for mine with my cc, so i tried to claim the money back from the cc company, i think thats when they started to give in, as they knew i wasnt going away:D I dont know of anyone they are regualted by, you can always ask them. I do know if enough people complain to them Consumer Direct will look into it for you, but i doubt we will ever see enough complaints. Could try watchdog, but again they are rubbish. Also another heads up, they didnt send me my second module, they sent the second to last one second or something stupid like that, so if you continue, dont be surprised if you dont get your modules on time. There is a similar post on here which might help you....
  16. I believe they do, have you paid for it already? I did call Consumer Direct for advice when i was persuing my complaint. I don't understand how ICS can claim their courses are created by experts (or whatever rubbish they say) when i would say a minimum of 40% of the mock exam and course content they gave me was not relevant and the mock exam was not of a similar calibur to the AQA previous exam papers, AND there was at least 2 questions on my exam which the answers for, where not in the ICS course materials!!
  17. First year i went back to my old school and got my old biology teacher to authenticate it. Second Year i just got my boss to do it, all she did was sign a form to say she agreeed was all my own work, and had worked on it with me - anyone can sign it for you What subject are you doing the GCSE in?
  18. Arghhhh what a pile of poo! Its annoying that he is going to speak to them and i cant intervene. I guess i will have to wait and see what happens tomorrow . Thanks for your help x
  19. I would say yes, take this up with them and see what they say, they really are useless there! Have a look at your material for your first exam and see if it matches up with their syllabus.
  20. Technically NO, the exam board give you your GCSE so you can go down my route and do whatever coursework the exam board request or if you follow the ICS Route, you can submit all your assignments to them and they will mark them and pick the best ones to give to the Exam Board. Hope this helps
  21. Thanks, I have already told him not to leave any windows open, unfortunately we have had previous experience with bailiffs levying our goods for a previous tenants debt!?! So we know all about them. I just dont see how she thinks she can levy our goods. I am going to get him to call her and the office tomorrow morning, and if he doesnt get anywhere i think i will SAR their butts, hopefully then i will get to the bottom of this, just dont want to spend the £10, what with a £150 gas bill on the way
  22. Yes i believe poop is a legal term I did A level Biology with AQA, really their course was rubbish, i managed to teach myself the course material using a text book, the AQA Syllabus, and the AQA website, and got an A. The AQA Tutor prediced me a C....shows how much she knows! If you continue on your course with them, then for your own sake download a syllabus from your examboard website, and do their past papers, i found alot of the stuff in my ICS course was irrelevant, not mentioned in the syllabus and definately not on any previous papers!
  23. Well it doesn't say she's a bailiff and it hasn't been to court, so i don't understand how she can levy our goods?
  24. Thanks for your replies guys. I am going to be on his case to get to the bottom of it, but what about Lynn the debt collector, can she let herself into our house? Can she take our stuff? If HM Revenue take him to court i dont care (to some extent) because its him not me, but I will go beserk if someone trys to take my stuff!
  25. Hey I don't know if i will be any help, as i paid for my course with my credit card, but i eventually beat them and they refunded my course, i just kept complaining to them and telling them i would take them to court, and explaining why their course was a pile of poop, eventually they caved!
