Have sent of letter today asking for bill. Ill let you know when i get a response.
-
It must have been about 4-5 years ago. I will request a copy of the final bill assuming powergen wont take the debt back. I can see why this has cropped up now after these years, they are trying to get it before the 6 are up. I have been with a different supplier since then. If i make an offer as suggested to settle for a percentage of the debt who do i offer this to? Powergen or the debt collector?

After doing some more digging im pretty sure that i do now but need to speak to powergen tomorrow so will take your advice about seeing if the utility company will take the debt back and pay by installments. Thanks for the advice and sorry if i wasted anyones time.

Thanks, the problem now is that i think i do owe them the money after looking into it further, from before i changed suppliers to another company. Im thinking perhaps the best option is to maybe pay them the money but in installments, as i am not that flush at the moment.

Hi, i have a quick query that i could not find an answer to on this forum. I have recently been chased by 1st Credit for some money im pretty sure i dont owe on behalf of a utility supplier, who i havent dealt with for nearly five years. My question is pretty simple... What can they do to me if i dont pay? I know they can take me to court for the money. Im pretty sure they cant get their hands on my equity? Can they do anything to my credit history? Thanks in advance
