Hi Everyone Only just found this forum and it is really useful. ADHD What a minefield !!!! Not only is it difficult to to get the NHS to acknowledge that a child suffers with it by getting a thorough session with a paediatrician but when the result are conclusive the education system won't acknowledge the problem. The situation was really hard for us and at the time , as most people seem to find, there is no support group to help out. We ended up having to use the internet and eventually set up a website http://www.ADDvice.co.uk and offer support via that. We are fortunate that our son was statemented and now receives FANTASTIC support at his secondary school but still has a lot of catching up due to being let down through infant and junior.
