  1. During the 40 days time limit.
  2. Hi I sent them tuesday Im just about to go and check my rd. numbers. They were to a catalogue ,and credit card company. Also should of put do I still pay them while im waiting for docs to arrive.
  3. I have sent off for 2 SARs I was just wondering do I still have to carry on paying these debts till they arrive or is it classed as in dispute now?. Any advice thnx.
  4. Hi well rang BT yesterday and thought I would try asking for the pay and call service on the number in my letter. I spoke to some-one from India first who told me I couldnt go on pay and call because my account number starts with GB. She then transferred me to some-one else, (a wrong department) then I got transferred again, then finally to some-one who put me straight on pay and call and didnt even ask for my account number. Although I am being charged a £70 cancellation for this (apparently to cancel just being on normal service/switch). God knows what, but there is absolutley no way Im paying, like I said above I knew they still did pay and call and I asked for this from the start. Also if they try arguing against this, like I mentioned before, my line never actually go dis-connected so I paid no fee and told them I wasnt paying a re-connection fee either, and they said fine. So by rights I should of automatically been put straight back on pay and call. Well if anyone has any good worded letters please post. thnx all.
  5. Hi thnx for replies, Well I got my original phone number back and thought nothing of it, till your comments buzby, which reminded me I had a quite serious debtor ring and leave a few msgs which sounded serious for the person they were meant for, so I rang them to let them know this person wasnt getting thier msgs, it was for some man who gave that number and lives in an area a couple of miles from were I am. The debtor had asked was it possible some-one else could have the number, and yes it was. The thing is my bill and charges are from the date I got the number so is it still possible that there could be an error from the previous persons bill? thnx all.
  6. Hi hope im in the right place. (sorry its a bit of a long 1) The thing is I am with BT for my phone services. I was previously with them and paying my bill using pay and call, I ended up falling a bit behind then there was a fault and I couldnt use it in the end. I rang up but was told they would start me again and the number may change, I told them I would not pay any re-connection fees as my phone still had a dialling tone, they said this was fine. Anyway because my credit rating is low I had to pay £25 upfront but was told this would come off my line rental and first bill. I asked could I be put on BT pay and call because I cant afford to get any big bills but was told they dont do this anymore, I said I was previously on it and know lots of people still on it. Anyway I asked to get a pay a call card on numerous occasions and at least 8 times I have been given different excuses. After 2 weeks I got a bill of £14 which I had to pay, I questioned why when bills are usually quartly and again asked for a pay and call card, and again told they dont do it. 7 weeks on (from the day my phone was first on) I have recieved a bill for £110. £90 of this is on un-itemised billing for 601 calls. Only me and my OH have access to the phone so I was shocked. I rang today to ask what these non itemised numbers were but was told the computers were down, thats about all I understood as the person spoke poor english. I did ask again about pay and call and again told no they dont do it. I purposley asked this question because I recieved a letter about a late payment charge (7.50) which also says it could be worth trying BT pay and call and a number to call. So at the moment I have no intention to pay this bill firstly not till I find out about these 601 calls they have got, and because I have been lied to over 8 times as to why I couldnt go on pay and call. When clearly they do still do them. So anyone has any advise on were I could take this woul be great. Thnx all its been a long read I know.
  7. Hi poppynurse, yeah I have kept a copy plus I have sent everything by recorded delivery. Well I have just sent a letter to them today (by rd) reminding them of the dispute and reminding them that the original was sent by rd. also. This time however Ive sent direct to the legal services dept. to see how they will now deal with this, surely they cant be any worse than the original dept. who are obviously above the law and are allowed to just ignore these requests, and carry on charging and sending threatning letters.
  8. Hi all I have a personal loan with halifax, in july last year I sent them a letter asking for a copy of my credit agreement, anyway they just totally ignored me and sent me a default notice and continued to add charges and so on. Anyway I was suppossed to take the matter further but had a death in family so everything just got put on hold. To cut a long story short I decided in the end to just carry on paying, then I just got another default notice yesterday for £100, so this just really annoyed me no warnings or anything. So I have printed off a letter reminding them of thier non-compliance and the debt is unenforceable and so on. Then today I find out without any warning that they have transferred £80.00 out of one of my accounts. I do not have any direct debits set up for this loan on any of my cards, so my question is can they just transfer this money without warning, and without direct debit set up. I think they tried a diff. card first but were unsuccessful as it had no funds, so today they just tried my other card (I have 2) and unfortunatley they were successful this time. As always thnx for any advice recieved.
  9. Hi just to let you know I was walking, as Id just paid for my shopping (nothing heavy) and was leaving the store. Had I had a mishap on entering the store or noticed any warning signs I would of been more vigilant, as this didnt occur I just left the store without any thought to check the floor. As I dont see why I should have to just because its been raining. Of course the staff cant always be standing at wet entrances to mop up, but there still should always be a sign up in these circumstances.
  10. Hi I took out a loan last year for 5000 and have to pay back 5000 on it over 10 yrs. Im about to send off for my CCA just to check everything is as it should be, I think I also signed a deed of assignment or this was a legal charge, Im sure ill find out soon enough though. Anyway a witness had to sign this and the witness was the agent who came to our house with all the paper work, so im just wanting to know if this is allowed?. thnx.
  11. Hi all, well I havent taken this matter any further as my bruises have gone now along with my embarrassment, so the only proof if I wanted to take it any further would be recorded by the store and the staff, and with obviously not seeking any medical attention this would probably be pointless. Also the floor has now been covered by two huge mats so thats something I suppose. In any case I would have to agree with joncris totally. As for you rp people are entitled to comp if theres an accident caused by another partys failings, eg. car accident (caused by drink drivers/ carelessness and so on), so what are they, ambulance chasers, comp society? I totally refuse to believe that you would not become one of these so called ambulance chasers. Also who are you to label and judge?.
