  5. hi thanks for the reply. I have had a look on the links thats you posted, my 2 main concerns are that my loan ran between 2000 to 2005 is there a time frame that I have to do this in, and that it was with the HFC bank... i cannot find anyone who has finished claiming successfully against them steve
  6. Hi, reading other post, i noticed that there is a time limit on how far back you can claim on, ie 6 yrs. i had a loan with the HFC bank for £7500 witch i took out in 2000, I finished paying the loan in 2005, on time etc but was told i had to take out the PPI to have the loan, it was a single payment PPI that was added to the loan at the start, and of which I paid interest on, I wasnt told about the type of PPI, and I didnt know any different. after a while and looking to reduce my outgoings, i made an appoitment to see the manager and try and cancel the PPI, he told me I couldnt and the only way out of it was to take another loan out, without the PPI to pay off the original loan, this worked out nearly the same a month with a higher interest rate, so I stuck with it until the end. Is it worth trying to claim this back as I felt totally abused by this bank or is it to late. please advise me. regards Steve
