  1. Had written to Royal Mail twice but they did not respond (waited 4 weeks between each letter), therefore, had no alternative but to refer to "Review Panel." Received a copy of a signature from "Review Panel" but recipient disputes it say that signature is unclear and they need further proof. I have written to "Review panel" attaching a copy of recipient's letter but no reply as yet. Thanks for your help.
  2. Thanks Buzby I sent it by Recorded Delivery. The recipient is denying that it is their signature and wants more evidence. I have written to 'Postal Review Panel' but there is no response yet. This has been going on for 4 months now and my only solution is to go through the small claims court but who do I sue, Royal Mail or the the recipient or both. More advice would be highly appreciated. Thank you.
  3. Thanks Rebel11. I have told him about supporting the wrong team, but would he listen? (Others might disagree with you and me)! I will call Consumer Direct a ring and see what they say.
  4. Thanks firstlifeline. The Seller is denying receiving it claiming it's not their signature. Someone is lying or it's lost and both denying responsibility.
  5. Hi Could someone please advice me regarding my issue with Royal Mail. I had bought my son a Chelsea Shirt but we got the wrong size and sent it back on 16th January 2010. After 4 weeks, the supplier claimed that they had not received it. I, therefore, sent in a claim Form to Royal Mail and they did not bothering replying. I sent a second letter which was also ignored. I wrote to 'Postal Review Panel' who took up the case and I received a letter from them confirming that the item was delivered and have sent me a photocopy of signature of the recipient. There is no other information on it. Now everyone is denying liability and I don't know what my options are now. Could anyone suggest a course of action. My son is really disappointed and I cannot afford to buy him another one. Thank you in advance
  6. Just thinking aloud here: What if we all send their letters back en masse with 'Return to Sender' written on the envelope. Probably, won't achieve much, but it will increase their workload.
  7. No, your appeal will not be rejected. You will be successful, however, by sending in the V5 you will also be successful but it will get sorted out much sooner. The choice is yours.
  8. Personally speaking, I would just send in a copy of the V5 and Harrow Council will probably cancel the PCN. Challenging at the Tribunal will waste a lot of your time and the end result will be the same but you might get a rebuke from the adjudicator.
  9. Presumably this will also put an end to the rogues hiding behind a PO Box and will now have to disclose their full geographical address!
  10. Hi We received the same from the shysters (I have posted on different Forum). Just follow the sound advice from our friends here and keep on ignoring their letters. Do not panic no matter how threatening they become. I, for one, will not be parting with a penny, neither, will I loose any sleep over it.
  11. Funny you should say that but on another forums, in another thread, someone else had a PCN cancelled for same reason although it was for a different 'offence.' I don't know that date of the PCN.
  12. Hi Just to update everyone on my query about late PCN. I wrote to Ealing Council in way of an appeal that the PCN was time-barred. I received a letter from Ealing Council that they are cancelling the PCN due to a 'technical error.' Regards
  13. Hi Thanks for that. I do intend to appeal and should it go in my favour, I would gladly donate that money to Charity.
  14. Thanks for your reply. So what would my next course of action be. Would it be wise to appeal?
  15. Hi I have just received a penalty Charge Notice from Ealing Council for allegedly for making a prohibited U-turn. The alleged contravention is photographed on 2nd July 07 but the date of notice is 09 August 07. Is there a time limit on such notices? Thank in advance.
