  1. I am in exactly the same position except I was not even told until I called the court to ask when my case would be transfered. I get the impression that asking to have the stay lifted is pretty pointless as the court officer told me the stay was agreed in e-mails between Abbey and the Court without my opinion even being asked for, talk about a stitch up
  2. I certainly did but they say they didn't get it. I guess I can't prove I did but they can't prove i didn't. I just can't see how the hell can charge me a fine on a vehicle 5 months after they agree I sold it.
  3. My HP business laptop has failed numerous times in its 8 months life, went up in smoke twice. I won't bore you with the full story but it has had replaced: 1) 3 system/mother boards 2) 2 batteries 3) 2 PSU`s 4) 1 TFT panel It has just come back from the service centre and the new TFT is not calibrated correctly so on auto mode (ambient light sensor) the new screen is too dark, the modem still doesn't work, the plastics have been cracked and the bottom left keys on the keyboard are dead so I have no FN, CTRL or ALT keys. I have had enough and I want to reject it and demand a new one but here is my problem, the machine was bought by my insurance company (I put in £300 to do the upgrade). HP say the sale of goods act is between me and the retailer and they don't care. The retailer and my insurance company both say it is the others problem and I am left in the middle holding a £1200 pile of junk, how do I move this forward?
  4. I sold my business with the van in June 2006, the DVLA wrote to me in November 2006 saying I didn't TAX it. I replied supplying the evidence and they replied saying they had updated their records to show I ceased to be the owner in June 2006. To my amazment I then get a letter of a debt collection agency for the unpaid fine, I have appealed through the DVLA all the way and the only response I get babbles on about continuous registration legislation and basically I have to pay someone elses fine. I have told them to sue me but will they and even can they?
